Meeting tradicional do English Brazil para a prática do inglês em encontros presenciais. Esse é um meeting que já é tradicional. Nos reunimos sempre em um local público para praticar conversação em inglês, e ficamos do lado de uma cafeteria para que você possa comprar o seu café enquanto conversa com a gente. O objetivo é criar um ambiente descontraído e amigável para que todos possam praticar o inglês sem pressão. Não importa se você é iniciante ou avançado, todos são bem-vindos! Não é necessário confirmar presença, e o valor é de graça, também não cobramos nada para participar. Teatro YouTube A atriz Ana Beatriz Nogueira estreia em São Paulo o espetáculo “A Procura de uma Dignidade”, performance teatral inspirada no conto homônimo de Clarice Lispector. Com direção de Gilberto Gawronski, a montagem chega à capital paulista após temporada de sucesso no Teatro Laura Alvim, no Rio de Janeiro, e terá uma curta temporada no Teatro YouTube. O espetáculo é baseado em adaptação do dramaturgo Leonardo Netto para o conto publicado originalmente no livro “Onde Estivestes de Noite?” (1974). A narrativa acompanha a trajetória da Sra. Xavier, uma mulher que, a caminho de um evento social, se perde nos corredores do Estádio do Maracanã e acaba mergulhando em um percurso de autodescoberta, marcado por reflexões sobre identidade, medos e desejos. Esta é mais uma incursão de Ana Beatriz Nogueira no universo de Clarice Lispector. A atriz já havia trabalhado com a obra da escritora em “Um Dia a Menos”, apresentado em 2019. We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!

We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!

Grab a cup of coffee from Winston's Coffee & Waffles or on your way to East Market and meet us on the second floor - table behind or east of the elevator. Per what this group is about: "Everyone is welcome! International transplants to Columbus who want to improve language skills, Columbus residents who enjoy talking to people from other countries, and those who would like to discuss international travel and culture, and who enjoy getting together for good conversations."

Inspired by our successful events like "Saturday Mornings @ East Market" and other "Pot Luck in the Park" lunches, this gathering promises to be a blend of fun conversations, language exchange, and cultural insights, all while sharing wonderful foods with each other. Please bring a dish to share and anything you would like to drink. We will provide plates, plastic silverware and napkins. So, come hungry and ready to chat! Note: Since the weather is unpredictable in April, we have a couple of places in mind for the Pot Luck. We have reserved a room in the Dublin Library from 1-2:30 PM for the meal, if necessary. \* But if the weather is nice on April 12th, we are planning to meet in Bridge Park, possibly in the covered shelter area at 12:00 Noon. We will update the details closer to the date of the Pot Luck but wanted to get this out to everyone so that you can make plans for that day.
