**L'Estany de Banyoles** es el lago natural más grande de Cataluña. También es el origen y principal signo de identidad de la ciudad de Banyoles. Es un **espacio natural único, de gran valor geológico, ecológico, paisajístico y cultural**. Se puede pasear y disfrutar de los rincones más emblemáticos. El lago de Banyoles y su cuenca se consideran el conjunto más extenso de la península Ibérica. Su importancia medioambiental le ha valido la protección del **Plan de Espacios de Interés Natural** (PEIN) de la Generalitat de Cataluña, la inclusión a la Lista Ramsar de Zonas Húmedas de Importancia y formar parte de la Red Natura 2000. **La formación del lago de Banyoles se remonta hasta el cuaternario** y se explica a partir de los movimientos tectónicos que dan lugar en los Pirineos. Una serie de fenómenos kársticos posteriores provocan los hundimientos que permitieron la formación de la zona lacustre. El lago se alimenta del agua procedente de los acuíferos. La vuelta al lago de Banyoles es uno de los paseos más conocidos de la zona, tanto por los visitantes, como por los mismos banyolins y banyolines. **EL PLAN** 🌲 Ven a conocer el màgico bosque de les Guilleries con los colores otoñales que nos ofrece la naturaleza en esta época del año. Ascenderemos a la cima más alta de les Guilleries: Sant Miquel de les Formigues o de Solterra 1202m, es un 100 cims esencial del listado oficial de la FEEC. El camino será agradable por pista en gran parte de la ruta sin ningún tipo de dificultad técnica y con una subida progressiva. Pasaremos por las ruinas del Borrel, tres antiguas fuentes y el Salt de Sant Martí del Torrent del Gavatx. **RUTA** 🚶‍♂️Es una ruta de unos 11km y unos 550m de desnivel en un recorrido circular. Volunteer with Westerville Queer Collective and the Neurospicy Meetup to build care packages for local unhoused folks, which will be distributed throughout local camps and neighborhoods via Heer2Serve (501c3). Will you donate any items? If so, comment what will you bring Please make sure clothing items are clean and if you’re donating food, ready to be eaten without a stove or microwave. We expect to assemble around 50-100 packages, so if you’ll purchase items, please consider that amount (ie bulk individually packaged candies etc.). Fun and interesting book or entertainment item donation also welcome! Package assembly will take place on January 17th from 10-12 am. Location TBA but will be in Westerville, Ohio.

Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
