James by Percival Everett is a retelling of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of the enslaved man, Jim, who is renamed "James" in the novel. The story follows James as he escapes slavery after learning he will be sold, and he teams up with a young Huck Finn on a raft journey down the Mississippi River, confronting the brutalities of slavery and challenging the myths surrounding it through sharp wit, humor, and a deep exploration of language and identity

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 11 at Streetlight Guild. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Hi ladies. Let's hike the edward thomas trail, lake trail , spring creek and a short walk on the multi purpose trail. This is one large loop . Wear your shoe of choice. Meet in the Maple Grove Picnic area. 4.2 miles in length .

Hi Ladies , Let's Hike Blendon Woods Metro Park . We will meet at the nature center parking lot. Hiking about 4 miles completing the blendon woods loop and the sugarbush trail . Wear appropriate footwear and bring water for hydration .
