Shower/change room facilities are available. Water fountains are around the school, though we would recommend bringing your own water/juice in case they aren't working. After the session, many of us head to a local pub (Rythm & Booze, rebranding to The Woodpecker) for some well-deserved food and drinks. The pub is a stone's throw from the school towards Clapham Junction, however any of our regulars will be happy to show you the way. **RSVPs** We are often oversubscribed so RSVPs are mandatory. Please don't just show up unless one of the organisers has agreed to it. No shows or cancellations within 24 hrs will be charged in full unless their spot is taken by someone else. Hi Everyone, Our next EuroClub French- English conversation evening will be on Thursday 14 May from 7pm at Blooms cafe, Royal National Hotel , Woburn Place. Blooms cafe can be approached from the courtyard of the London Pub, at 39 Woburn Pl, London WC1H 0LW, close to Russell Square underground station. We should be inside the cafe , probably at the far side or upstairs We will speak French for the first hour, then English until 9pm. Come along for an enjoyable , friendly evening. It is free to join in but you must buy a drink . Stephen will host this meeting. If you cannot find the group on the day you can call 07498 733466. New people very welcome, especially any french native speakers. You will need a reasonable conversational level in french to join in these meetings **These exchanges are normally every 2 weeks. If you are visiting London you would be very welcome to come along.** **We also have an online French-English exchange , using Zoom, every 2 weeks on Wednesdays which is open for those living outside the UK.** **If you are a french native speaker, eg outside the UK , you would be very welcome to join in the online exchange.** This is a FREE event organised by Euroclub London . French GCSE Course ( Higher Tier ) The French GCSE course aims to equip students with the skills needed to understand and use French in real-life situations. Students study a range of topics relevant to young people and everyday life, such as identity, family, school, leisure, holidays, work, and global issues. The course develops competence across the four key language skills: • Listening – understanding spoken French in different contexts • Speaking – taking part in conversations and giving presentations • Reading – understanding texts of varying length and complexity • Writing – producing clear and accurate written French Students also learn essential grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and gain insight into French and Francophone culture. Assessment is based on examinations in the four skills at Foundation or Higher level.
