## **What Does Equality Look Like?** *A Women’s Circle & Watercolour Workshop* In this intimate two-hour women’s circle, we will gather to create, reflect, and connect through watercolour painting inspired by vintage feminist posters and historic movements such as the Women's March and International Women's Day. We’ll begin by exploring powerful imagery and messages from past feminist struggles. Together, we’ll reflect on the fights that came before us, the freedoms we’ve inherited, and the work that still remains. Through guided prompts and open conversation, you’ll be invited to share: * Your personal relationship with feminism * The women and movements that shaped you * What equality means in your life today * Your hopes for the future Then, using watercolours, you’ll create your own vision of *Future Feminism* — whether that’s a symbolic poster, a soft imagined landscape of equality, powerful words layered in colour, or an abstract expression of freedom. Es wird wie immer ein interessanter Abend mit einem umfangreichen Erfahrungsaustausch werden, der einen auch beruflich weiterbringt. Mit dem DBITS e.V. wollen wir die Anerkennung von IT-Freiberuflern in der Gesellschaft und Politik vorantreiben. Dort gibt es leider noch einen sehr großen Aufhol- und Aufklärungsbedarf und damit viel zu besprechen und zu erfahren. Des Weiteren bietet uns der Verein ein breites Netzwerk an Leuten mit den gleichen Zielen und Problemen. Aber wie gesagt, das Ziel ist ein schöner, informativer Abend, es gibt kein Mitgliederzwang. Denn Philosophie geht weit hinaus über Plauderei, heiße Luft oder abstrakte Glasperlenspiele. Philosophieren heißt auf eine bestimmte Art an sich selbst zu arbeiten. The topic for March is "Our Bodies, Ourselves" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience.
