She also led flamenco classes at Rey Juan Carlos University from 2013 to 2018. Born and raised in Madrid (Spain), she began studying ballet and Spanish dance at the tender age of nine. Maika studied at Karen Taft Dance Academy and Flamenco Centre “Amor de Dios”, majoring in Spanish Dance at the Conservatory of Dance in Madrid. In 2003, she was awarded a Teaching Methodology Applied to Spanish Dance certificate and then focused her career on dance education. Maika has continued her professional training alongside teachers including Antonio Canales, Alfonso Losa, La Lupi, Rojas and Rodriguez. Maika co-founded the company Spanish Flamenco Tour, based in Miami (USA), a business dedicated to promoting flamenco and Spanish culture, to a local audience. Adding more strings to her bow, Maika embarked on a Master´s Degree in Leadership and Management of Cultural Projects at the Institute of Dance “Alicia Alonso”, Rey Juan Carlos University. Her final master’s project was based on promoting Spanish dance, receiving a First-Class Degree. Maika’s classes are designed to extract every student’s natural ability to dance and show them how wonderful and fun, this art form is.

I am a native, qualified teacher of English and this is a session designed for you to go over any particular issues that you have in English - grammar, exam preparation, pronunciation, vocabulary and so on - as well as to practise your conversational skills discussing current topics. The tradition is to eat this cake for Epiphany day - and actually for the whole month of January. More than eating a great cake, it is about to "tirer les rois". In the iconic cake, there is a charm (originally a bean) in and the one who gets it gets the crown, and then gets luck for the year! Wanna experience it? Join us chez Antoinette, a French cafe in Covent Garden! We will talk a bit about this tradition, we will eat a piece of cake and we will chat all in French. Home to the French Embassy and the Lycée Charles de Gaulle, South Kensington has become famous as the contemporary ‘French area’ of London, an area teeming with French landmarks, buildings and history. This tour includes the Ambassade de France, Michelin House, Institut Français, Lycée Français and the Royal Albert Hall. You’ll learn about Napoleon III, the Free French and the Entente Cordiale, whilst enjoying a gentle two-hour walk taking in some of the most beautiful parts of Hyde Park and South Kensington. We will start from the French Embassy, close to Knightsbridge Station and on the side of Hyde Park, and then, going to Albert Memorial, to South Kensington ending in front of the Institut Français. This stroll is a refreshing opportunity to find out more about French presence in London and to speak French in an relaxed way. ONE SPACE AVAILABLE ! Hi, in this workshop, we will learn to make the famous "galette des rois", eaten on the 6th of january everywhere in France. We will prepare the frangipane, and also learn how to make the southern French "couronne des rois". We will then go and taste one of them upstairs while admiring the view. The event is free in itself, but I will charge for the ingredients. It should not exceed £10/ person. Please note, the event will only run if there are at least 3 people coming. We will cook together (in French of course) in our beautiful 56th floor kitchen, and then we will share one frangipane together, discuss the tradition and converse in French and you can take the one (or two!) you made home!
