Ranked #29 best steak in the world - Steer Dining Room
Steer Dining Room has become one of a handful of Australian restaurants to serve genuine Kobe beef, the most sought-after kind of Wagyu. The delicate meat (from Japanโs Hyogo prefecture) stands out for its high marbled fat content, which causes it to melt at low temperatures.
Awarded 29th in the Worldโs Best Steaks for 2026 (the highest ranking awarded to a Melbourne venue), the awards write-up states, โSteer Dining Room is not about spectacle; it is about mastery. Through its commitment to sourcing, its reverence for wagyu and its measured execution, it has secured its place as an essential institution for those who see steak not merely as a meal, but as a craft.โ
Read more here: STEER DINING ROOM | Worldbeststeaks 2026
I have booked for 6 Fine Diners to enjoy the Signature Wagyu Degustation - 6 courses at $325 per person - for dinner from 6.15pm on Friday 3 July. You can view the menu here and it looks simply mouthwatering: https://www.steerdiningroom.com.au/_files/ugd/16cb0b_e63265bb4f3e41319004584541a580e3.pdf
โฉโฉJoin the waitlist to express interest.
Once I have names in the waitlist, Iโll send you a โMeetup Messageโ to confirm you have a spot and how to pay. Youโll need to send me $100 to secure your place (equivalent to the cancellation fee - this will be deducted from your bill when we settle up). Once paid Iโll move you from the waitlist to โAttendingโ.
As these are small group events, there are often more Fine Diners interested than there are seats available. My approach to hosting an event is to share seats around amongst members of the group in as fair a manner as I can, including mixing Fine Diners regulars with newcomers. Please be respectful if there are events when you miss out on a seat.
I will always message you so you know if you have secured a seat or are still waitlisted in case a seat opens up. Please check that you donโt have your settings blocking messages; if I canโt contact you, Iโll have to move on to the next person. Also if you donโt respond to my message offering you a seat within 3 days, Iโll let you know that Iโm offering the seat to another person on the waitlist.
โฉโฉThis looks like a memorable menu for steak lovers in the group, so I hope you can join me.

COhPy Monthly Meeting
**Improving Office in Franklinton**
Physical location:
Improving Office
330 Rush Alley Suite #150
Columbus, OH 43215
Schedule:
6:00 p.m.: Socialize, eat, and drink. Improving will be providing pizza and beverages.
6:30 to 8:00 pm. Main meeting and presentation(s).
Topic: In this session, we will explore the concept of hyperdimensional computing (HDC), a brain-inspired method of computing. We'll begin by talking about neurons and the brain. Through simple Python examples weโll dive into HDC and answer: What it is? How does it work? And, how does it learn? We will review how other researchers have applied HDC and demonstrate how it can be used for solving cybersecurity tasks. Where deep learning fails, HDC excels. No supercomputer? No problem. HDC offers interpretability, low energy requirements, robustness to errors, online learning, on-device learning, and more. By pushing the difficult calculations into the embedding process, learning becomes a cinch. By the end of this talk, attendees will have everything they need to teach their own hyperdimensional computing models.
We meet on the last Monday of each Month. Presentations are given by members and friends of this group. If you would like to do a presentation (small or large) on a python topic, please contact Central OH Python at centralohpython@gmail.com

Take Control Of Your Life, Freedom From Negative Thoughts & Irrational Emotions
Feeling down? Sometimes depressed? Can't focus? Negativity & stress? Recent losses? Creativity in career and personal life hindered by mental blocks? Sometimes we never fully recover from traumatic experiences.
Whether it was yesterday, last week or a year ago, traumatic experiences - a loss of a loved one, losing a job, a breakup - can leave you scarred. You talk about it and feel a little better, but it never goes away. After you hang up the phone, it's still there; the sadness, the cloud, the over-thinking, the worry, the guilt. You try to focus, but you're blocked. You try to look forward into new experiences, new relationships but a cloud is hanging over you, casting a shadow on what you once considered a bright, cheerful future.
What happened to your courage? Your strength of character? You're 'why not' attitude? Whoever said 'time heals' must have had a special time machine, because after weeks, months, years, you're wondering - when exactly does that kick in? Sometimes it seems like drinking or drugs are the way to go. But they wear off, and now the problem is still there with added side effects from the drugs.
At this free local Meetup event we will talk about:
* What causes grief, anxiety and depression to become chronic.
* Is it possible to regain your joy and happiness even after traumatic experiences?
* How to break away from negativity and focus on the future
* What are the steps to take to get control of your mind and your emotions?
Learn about a safe, gentle, do-it-yourself counseling that can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Let's explore safe, effective solutions for healing from traumatic experiences.
