Come Play Bruxelles 1893
It's the first Thursday of the month, and that means we will be replaying a game we played recently: ***Bruxelles 1893.***
From BGG: ***Bruxelles 1893*** is a worker placement game with elements of bidding and majority control. Each player is an architect of the late 19th century and is trying to achieve, through various actions, an architectural work in the Art Nouveau style. The most successful building yields the most points. Each player can also create works of art to increase their score.

Betrayal at House on the Hill (Punchbowl Social - 1st Floor)
*Betrayal at House on the Hill* is a popular horror-themed board game where 3-6 players explore a haunted mansion, building the map as they go, until a "Haunt" event turns one player into a traitor, flipping the game from cooperative to asymmetric, one-vs-many gameplay with different win conditions for the traitor and heroes. The current version is the 3rd Edition, featuring updated art, characters, and rules for 50 different scenarios (Haunts).

Board Games!
**Notice the new time. We are now 2-5pm.**
Bring your own board games! The Center has a few games as well. Newcomers welcome! You don't need to know anything, we will teach you how to play!
We do not serve food. Note that you can bring drinks and food, but plan to leave the place tidy. Some of us may also get food together afterwards.
Location Info: The [MoCo Pride Center](https://www.mocopridefamily.org/pride-center-home) is close to the **Bethesda Metro Station**. It is on the 2nd floor of the **Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center**. Look for the **blue awning** that says Geste Beer at the cross of Old Georgetown Road -- the front entrance is directly to the left of this awning.
The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Service Center has an attached garage, which is accessible on Edgemoor. Go past the Center, then turn right at the stop sign across from the Metro stop. The garage is your first right. Payment is mobile using the ParkMobile app.

Games Day!
Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated, but not required. I just got mine. I don't want to get any of my friends sick! I will, however, be screening for a standard set of COVID symptoms. If you are showing any symptoms that could make people nervous, please postpone coming to the meetup till you're over it. While sneezing is not a COVID symptom, I think folks would rather not risk getting even a cold right now, so again please don't show up if this is the case, even if you're sure it is just an allergy. On the other hand, no masks are required, although feel free if it'd make you more comfortable.
General day of games! Whatever folks feel like playing. Bring your own or learn a new one! If you want to play a longer game, you might want to propose it on the meetup discussion to judge interest. I'll have snacks and soda on hand. Additional snacks or soda welcome. We usually order out for dinner and then continue on till 10pm.
The games we usually play tend towards those requiring more thinking than typical family or party games and they are usually in the 2-4 hour range. Photos from past meet ups can give you a sense of them. We do sometimes play lighter games though.
1JennyFan's Rock Band & Rhythm Gaming Meetup!
**Both primary COVID-19 vaccinations are REQUIRED to enter. No vax, no entry. No exceptions.** Please preferably share your vaccine status in the #vaccine channel on our Discord, either via https://vase.vdh.virginia.gov/vdhapps/f?p=545:1 or photograph of your vaccine card. If you're not comfortable sharing your status online, you can also physically bring your card. Attendees come at their own risk.
Whether you've been playing since Guitar Hero 1 like me or want to try out Rock Band 4 for the first time, you're welcome at the Console Gamers Group Rock Band & Rhythm Gaming Meetup! I have a projector equipped loft for Rock Band (Beatles, 3, and 4), Guitar Hero (Warriors of Rock and Live), Dance Dance Revolution/StepMania, and Just Dance. There is also a second bedroom that can be used for games like Frequency/Amplitude, Taiko no Tatsujin, DJ Hero, Beatmania, Parappa the Rapper, Deemo, Voez, the Persona Dancing games, and more.
When you arrive please park in a space that does NOT have a number or says "Decal Parking Only"; if those aren't available there's lots of open street parking within the Penderbrook community (I'm right in the middle so either side is cool; parking on Center Way or the middle of Penderbrook Drive is best) but please don't parck on a yellow curb or you might be towed! You'll want to turn at the sign that says "The Greens" onto Golf RIDGE, and then to Golf TEE where I'm the first house on the left. When you enter walk all the way up and to the right; look for the Super Mario Bros. doormat. I'm about 10 driving minutes from the Vienna/Fairfax metro station.
We usually go out for dinner at around 5 PM; I live a short drive away from lots of shopping centers including Fair Oaks Mall, Pender, Fairfax Shopping/Towne Center, Fair Lakes Promenade, Fair Lakes Center, and Fairfax Corner.
Here's a list of restaurants in the area by food type: [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Mn6ytvuaaGaBlpVT-9pBSh8fv6X8_V9wzl4eQKYzRT0/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Mn6ytvuaaGaBlpVT-9pBSh8fv6X8_V9wzl4eQKYzRT0/edit?usp=sharing)

Please follow the group's rules & guidelines below:
[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PS-UUkkFQ1JDaMp7pCTSGMu2Rqm58X7srdCzhN0Y-xA/edit?usp=drivesdk](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PS-UUkkFQ1JDaMp7pCTSGMu2Rqm58X7srdCzhN0Y-xA/edit?usp=drivesdk)
I also have two more guidelines, but they're pretty easy to follow:
1. Gaming equipment are not toys. Please be responsible with other people's controllers, consoles, games, furniture, etc. Accidents happen, but if you continuously break things you won't be allowed to use people's equipment.
2. Try and keep a positive atmosphere. A lot of people attend the group to escape from their daily lives. Don't feel like you need to leave your problems at the door, everyone needs to vent once in a while, but please attempt to not do so the whole meetup. We're here to have fun after all, so try and keep it that way! <3
Yu-Gi-Oh! at Wegmans - TCG Advanced
**Come join us for some friendly one-on-one duels!**
**BEFORE you arrive,**
**Be sure that any decks you plan to use adhere strictly to Konami's most recent Forbidden & Limited List:**
**[https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/](https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/)**
**Also, we use a tier list for Advanced Format. Click the link below and see where your favorite archetypes are ranked. If you donāt see yours listed, consider what decks on the list that youāve faced in the past and estimate your deckās power level.**
**[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rkHfUrfF3231DWamIeTTQ_VadYMvuo50xm_Q8Cp3zr0/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rkHfUrfF3231DWamIeTTQ_VadYMvuo50xm_Q8Cp3zr0/edit?usp=sharing)**
**This tier list is NOT intended as a definitive ranking system for the metagame. It is merely an approximation to prevent one-sided matchups, which is an unfortunate feature of the game. We want EVERYONE to enjoy themselves and have a decent chance of winning. So, please bring at least 3 decks, each with a different power level (ideally an A tier deck, a B tier deck and a C tier deck). Notify your opponent of your deckās ranking prior to each duel.**
**Concerning travel,**
**Parking is easy! Thereās a dual-level garage beneath the store with no time limit.**
**If youāre on foot, take the train to Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station. The store's main entrance is near the intersection of Stovall Street and Pershing Avenue (which turns into Mandeville Lane).**

Young Professionals Social Club: Nationals Home Game Socials (20s & 30s)
āAre you in your 20s or 30s looking to expand your social circle, grab a drink, and catch some live baseball without breaking the bank? This is the group for you!
āWe are a vibrant community of local young professionals who meet up for every single Nats home game. Whether you are a die-hard baseball fan or just in it for the social scene, youāll fit right in. If the Nats are playing at home, we are there!
āWhat We Are About
āOur events focus on high-energy, low-stress environments. We love utilizing standing room only tickets and affordable season passes to keep things budget-friendly, but regular ticket holders are always welcome!
āStanding room areas (like the outfield bars and concourse decks) give us the freedom to move around, mingle, and actually talk to each otherāno being stuck in a single stadium seat all night.
āEvery Home Game: No guessing when the next meetup is. If there is a game at the stadium, we are gathering.
āSocialize: Meet new friends, network with fellow local professionals, and find your crowd.
āEat & Drink: We always kick things off with pre-game drinks or hang out at the stadium's best social spaces.
āZero Pressure: You donāt need to be a baseball expert. Come for the game, stay for the conversations.
āWho Should Join?
āIf you are in your 20s or 30s, live in the area, and want a fun, consistent way to get out after work or on the weekends, hit that "Join" button.
āCheck the schedule, grab your tickets, and we'll see you at the ballpark!
