Hi, all Independent Movie Lovers. You are invited meet at 7 pm, on Friday the 26th of June, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin. We will discuss the film: **Tuner**, (2025), by Canadian director Daniel Roher. Daniel Roher won the 2023 Oscar for best Documentary Feature with 'Navalny'. We will also discuss **Last Year at Marienbad**, (1961), directed by Alain Resnais, who is maybe best known for 'Hisroshima Mon Amour'. Hi everyone, I'm Jake and I'm a local history student based in Bray offering free walking tours! Today it’s known as a seaside resort and commuter town, but Bray’s history stretches back thousands of years. The area has evidence of human activity dating back to prehistoric times and even has links to the Romans. The name “Bray” is believed to come from the Irish Brí Chualann, meaning “hill of Cualu”, referring to the nearby headland known as Bray Head. Today Bray is the largest town in County Wicklow with a population of almost 35,000. Come along and find out about it's fascinating history! This is the **first meetup** of our AI video generation group, and we are keeping it small and hands-on. We will have **4 laptops** set up and ready to go: * one for demos. * one for guided tutorials. * and one for you to practice on yourself. With only **8 people** in the room, there's plenty of time to ask questions, try things out, and actually get into the tools rather than just watch someone else use them. **What we will cover:** * A walkthrough of AI video generation tools including ComfyUI, Higgsfield, and Kling AI. * Hands-on practice time at the workstations. * Open discussion > what are you working on, what tools are you curious about? No experience needed. This is an open-level session where we explore movement in a simple and supportive way, without performance pressure. This event is for anyone seeking a social run with like minded people. It will consist of 2 loops. the first loop will be run at 6 20 - 6 30 per km pace and will be about 7 km in length. We will then join with the main Dublin Runners group at 9:00 am back at the Visitors Centre (VC), where a variety of pace options will be available. This second loop will be approximately 10 km to 12 km. So you can choose to join at 8 15 am or 9 00 am. Please arrive 5 mins early as we are firm about start times. We usually finish with tea and cake in the cafe in the VC. If your pace is lower than 6 30 per km for about 8 km this run may not be for you. Some people are using this to prepare for summer 10 mile or half marathon races or to build a base to prepare for the Dublin City marathon in October. We will have a couple of groups preparing for the marathon starting in mid July. So now might be a good time to get started. If you have any questions contact Harry.
