Franklin Method and Myofascial Training
Franklin Method and Myofascial Training
Be-weekly lessons with experienced practitioner Ingrid Wenger. We want to consciously experience movement together and give our bodies the attention they need. Everyone participates according to their abilities – together, yet each at their own pace. We work with balls, bands, music, but above all with our imagination and lots of fun. The training is based on the Franklin Method and Karin Gurtner's Slings Myofascial Training. The goal is to increase your physical well-being and open up a new connection to your body. It's wonderful to discover that you already possess many tools within yourself to enhance your quality of life. Simple and without much effort. ZH3 Hash # 1711: The Down Out After Back On Under Hash
ZH3 Hash # 1711: The Down Out After Back On Under Hash
Hares (who set the route) are Spermalbad and Christian Harlot. **Where**: Meet at the lockers in Bhf Stadelhofen (https://maps.app.goo.gl/kS6gV8DsSq5soo9r6, or Plus code 9G8X+J9 Zürich). Look for English speakers wearing running gear. **When:** We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm. There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers as much beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) as you can drink afterwards, plus snacks. **On After:** The clue is in the title (although I got the name of the venue wrong). It's between Gleis 1 and Stadelhoferstrasse. **All Welcome:** If you are curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know: • We are a social running/walking group - physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour helps. • The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun. • 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further. • The '*Hare*', which changes with each event (along with the location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with chalk and/or flour markings) so that everyone reaches the end at about the same time. • There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change. • Headlamps are highly recommended during the winter months, especially if we go into the woods, which is often the case. • **After Trail**, we group in the '*Circle*' for 30-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This is usually outside, so bring warm, dry clothes to change into. If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We often go to a nearby restaurant for the 'On After' afterwards. **Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?** If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it. 'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and traditions can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.* We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups. For more about Zürich Hash House Harriers, check out [www.zh3.ch](http://www.zh3.ch/) ( [http://www.zh3.ch/](http://www.zh3.ch/) )

First Saturday hash will be an OUTSTATION: **Bern Hash House Harriers 1000th Run Extravaganza!** **When:** 7th March 2026 @ 14:00 **Where:** Herrenschwanden, Dorf **Trail:** A to A **Hares:** a select crew of some of Bern H3's finest **What to bring:** money for restaurant (optional) **Special info.:** please fill out the Google form at this link - [https://forms.gle/jZYxwdectdMtZK5P8](https://forms.gle/jZYxwdectdMtZK5P8) **Word about the day:** Trail will have it all: forests, countryside, mud, bugs, snacks and BEER! There will be Trails for both walkers and runners, with a scrumptious Drink Stop and our first Circle in the esteemed Hashing Universe of quadruple digits! **How to get there:** It's best to come by public transport. From the Postauto station upstairs in the Bern Bahnhof, catch either Bus 105 from Stop V at 13:33 (direction ("Lyss"), arriving at Herrenschwanden, Dorf at 13:44, or Bus 106 from Stop U at 13:38 (direction "Zollikofen"), arriving at Herrenschwanden, Dorf at 13:50. Once there, look for Hashers. It's a small village, we'll probably outnumber the locals. If you do choose to come by car, please park in the lot by the old schoolhouse here: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/6zVGmoT5ZGC8Tyx1A](https://maps.app.goo.gl/6zVGmoT5ZGC8Tyx1A)

ZUG 🌿 Remove Invasive Plants Together!
ZUG 🌿 Remove Invasive Plants Together!
🌿 **Help Restore Native Nature in Zug – Remove Invasive Plants Together!** 🛠 **What to Expect** Join us for a hands-on community action to protect local biodiversity in **Zug**! We’ll be working together **to remove invasive and non-indigenous plants** that threaten the native ecosystem. These species spread aggressively and outcompete the plants that local wildlife depends on. This time, we will focus on removing the **Butterfly Bush (Buddleja**). Although it provides nectar for adult butterflies, it is not a host plant for most native caterpillars. When invasive plants replace native vegetation, butterfly diversity declines and disrupt local ecosystems. Before we begin, **Stadt Zug Werkhof** will give a short introduction about the environmental impact of invasive plants and why removing them matters. Come get your hands dirty, meet friendly like-minded people, and make **a visible impact in our local community.** Together, we can help native plants 🌿— and butterflies 🦋— thrive again! 🗓 **Date & Time** **Saturday, March 7, 2026** **9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (CET)** You’re welcome to join or leave at any time — every bit of help truly makes a difference! 📍 **Meeting Point** Please meet at **Oberwil B. Zug, Klinik Zugersee – Bus Stop** in Zug. 🚌 **Public Transport - Bus stop: Oberwil B. Zug, Klinik Zugersee** **Bus 603 (from Zug)** **Bus 611 (from Zug)** **Bus 605 (from Walchwil)** Please use public transportation, as there is very limited public parking available at the meeting point and to ensure a smooth and stress-free start to the event. We recommend arriving a few minutes early so we can start on time. 🌍 **Language** This event is in both **English** and **German**. 👕 **What to Wear & Bring** Clothing: * Weather-appropriate, sturdy outdoor clothing * Strong, ankle-high shoes (some areas are steep, and the forest ground can be muddy or wet) Please bring: * Water * A hot drink * Snacks 🥪 We will provide a sandwich if you are staying through lunch. 🛠 Tools for plant removal will be provided by **Stadt Zug Werkhof to clear a** defined area to clear (we finish once it’s done!) ⚠️ **Important Information** * This event is not suitable for children. * Insurance coverage is the responsibility of each participant. By registering for the event, **you are committing to attend**, as everyone’s participation matters. If something unexpected comes up, please let us know **by Thursday, 5 March**, so we can plan accordingly. 🌧 **Weather Policy** If we need to cancel due to weather conditions, we will notify all participants **by 17:00 on Thursday, 5 March**. In case of cancellation, the alternative date is **Saturday, 14 March**. 🗓 **Datum & Zeit** **Samstag, 7. Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid.
