We can also chat about our 2 upcomming trips: 1. Bonaire (July 25 - Aug 1): The shore diving capital of the world. The group will do a mix of boat diving and shore diving. 2. Belize Aggressor III (Dec 05 - 12): This hasn't been posted yet, but it will shortly. If you missed our 2024 Belize Aggressor III trip, this is your time to make up for that. The diving here was better than anywhere else in the Caribbean. Come to chat about the details and secure your spot on the boat. Taxi Driver is a film made in 1976 that resulted in some reviews that were highly negative, some that were highly positive, and the remainder that were somewhere in between. The fact that the AFI is showing it gives us a chance to see it and make up our own minds. I am not giving anything away by saying that the movie is rather violent toward its end, so keep this in mind when deciding whether to attend. Watch the [Taxi Driver trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5IligQP7Fo) to try to get a better idea of what this film is all about. **MEETING UP** I will be at the AFI at 3:10, and I’ll be in the lobby standing in the back right corner. To improve the chance of spotting me, I’ll be wearing a red shirt like the one in my photo (and I’ll also have a small Meetup sign on an over-the-shoulder pack that I’ll be wearing). At about 3:25 we can go into the theatre to take our seats. The movie will start at 3:40. **AFTER THE FILM** Meet just outside the screening room so we can trade notes about what we just saw. Then, if there is interest, we can go to Sweetgreen to talk about film and anything else that comes to mind.

We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!

Want to learn pickleball in a fun, low-pressure setting? I’m hosting a free beginner-friendly meetup at Olentangy Parklands to help new players learn the basics and get comfortable on the court. I’m a pretty skilled player and will walk everyone through the essentials, including rules, scoring, serving, basic strategy, and how to start playing real games. No experience needed. We’ll meet on the upper courts. Bring a pickleball paddle if you have one. If not, no problem, I’ll have some extras available for people to use. This event is meant for beginners and anyone curious about trying pickleball for the first time. Come ready to move, learn, and have fun.
