Impact Mapping: A Practical Crash Course for Product Teams
**Connecting business goals with outcomes and everyday product work**
Why is it still so difficult for product teams to clearly explain how their work contributes to business goals?
Impact Mapping is a simple but powerful tool that helps teams connect the dots between “what are we building?” and “why does this matter?” by connecting
* Business goals
* Actors
* Behavioural changes and outcomes
* Concrete solutions
In this hands-on crash course, we will build an impact map together based on an example goal. Step by step, you will practise connecting:
Goal → Actor → Outcome → Solution
You’ll leave with a clear mental model you can immediately apply in product discovery, roadmap discussions, or strategy conversations.
Agenda
17.45 Doors open

AI at scale hosted by Zalando
17:30-18:00
* Doors open
* Welcome words by Zalando & WiMLDS
18:00- 18:40
**'Deploying AI agents at scale'** by **Valentina Halasi**
**Abstract:**
You've built AI agents with a framework like CrewAI or LangGraph. They work great locally. Now what?
This talk covers the real infrastructure challenges of deploying multi-agent systems: handling long-running executions, managing stateful workflows, versioning deployments, and debugging complex agent behavior in production. Learn the steps from "works on my laptop" to production-ready, and discover why most teams end up building the same infrastructure stack.
I'll wrap up with a live demo showing how to deploy agents with a single command, stream execution in real-time, manage secrets securely, auto-scale to handle concurrent runs, and version deployments with instant rollbacks, without building the full infrastructure yourself.
18:45-19:30
**'AI at scale in practice: Zalando Assistant'** by **Katya Mirylenka**
**Abstract:**
As artificial intelligence transforms the fashion industry, multimodal AI agents are stepping up to deliver deeply personalized shopping experiences. Using the Zalando Assistant (ZA) as a real-world case study, this talk dives into the practicalities of building and operating these complex systems at scale. We will explore why the e-commerce industry is moving beyond simple chatbots to sophisticated LLM-powered agents and how ZA processes complex user interactions to elevate the customer journey. Finally, we will unpack the behind-the-scenes technical hurdles of large-scale AI, including optimizing search and retrieval under heavy load, refining LLM evaluations, and handling complex product data.

Money Stories and Earning Our Keep - A Product Academy evening with Rich Mironov

Product managers talk about features. Executives talk about revenue. Money Stories are how product and technical leaders translate what they are building into how it will make money and why that work is essential. In terms that their audience understands. And product leaders need to understand how they are really measured to get the resources and respect they expect.
**Bio:** Rich has led product teams for 40 years, including six B2B software startups (3 exits) and 15 interim CPO roles. Today, he coaches product leaders. Rich is the author of "Money Stories: Communicating the Value of Product Work" and "The Art of Product Management." Grief Circle — Remembering Love, From Darkness to Light
**A sacred space to honor sorrow, release pain, and remember love**
At Yanantin Tribe, we open grief circles where heart, body, and spirit can meet. Inspired by ancestral traditions, we gather in community to carry what was never meant to be held alone. Here, darkness and light are both welcome — grief is not fixed or rushed, but witnessed with care.
**Tickets & Support**
This grief circle is offered freely as a community space.
If you wish to support the continuation of these circles, you can choose the Support Ticket — CHF 25 via Eventfrog.
️Tickets & details:

A grief ritual is a communal gathering where sorrow is given space and form. We welcome all expressions of grief: personal loss, heartbreak, ancestral wounds, collective pain, or a quiet heaviness without a clear name. Through music, song, rhythm, movement, silence, and guided ritual, grief softens and reveals the love beneath it.
**Bring: comfortable clothes, water bottle and your own cup for tea, curiosity**
**The experience**
* Enter a safe, held circle where all emotions are welcome
* You may share, move, cry, sing, or remain silent — no pressure to speak
* Place a personal item, photo, or symbol on a shared altar (optional)
* Move through ritual practices that allow grief to be witnessed and released
* Close with grounding and gentle integration so you leave supported
**Why this circle matters**
* Release unspoken or long-held grief
* Be held without advice or fixing
* Honor both sorrow and love
* Heal personal, ancestral, and collective layers
*
**Practical info**
* Held every two weeks on Sundays
* Free to attend as a community offering
* Donations welcome to support the continuation of these circles (entirely optional)
* Bring: a token, photo, or personal item for the altar (optional)
* Wear: comfortable clothing
* Note: if you are in acute crisis or experiencing significant mental health challenges, please inform us so we can support you best
* Impressions of past events: [https://yanantintribe.com/events-gallery/](https://yanantintribe.com/events-gallery/)
**Additional support**
András offers 1:1 grief support, death & dying accompaniment, and end-of-life presence alongside this community work:
[https://psysoul.com/death-grief-sessions](https://psysoul.com/death-grief-sessions)
This is not therapy. It is a facilitated ritual space rooted in consent, presence, and care.
Come exactly as you are.
You do not have to carry everything alone.
**Personal Support & 1:1 Work with András**
If you’re going through a period of transition, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck, I offer **free 30-min Exploration Calls** to help you gain clarity and see if deeper 1:1 work is right for you.

ZH3 Hash # 1715: Saddam 40th Year Hashiversary
40th years of torturing hashers: Saddam 40th Year Hashiversary
Code share hash with WSH3's event. Meet at Winterthur Bahnhof, leave clothes in a locker. On after at the Scotsman pub
Hare: Saddam. The trail has something for everyone - long for runners, with big short cuts for walkers. No desert, unfortunately, but there will be some other difficult terrain.
Background. The person now known as Saddam started hashing in Baghdad, Iraq in March 86. At the time Iraq was a dictatorship at war, so there were occasional disturbances from stone-throwing locals, armed police and Iranian Scud missiles.
Hopefully none of these turn up in Winterthur. Hopefully no flesh eating camel spiders either.
WHEN?
Meet at 1:45pm to start at 2:00pm. There will be a charge of CHF5.00 for participating.
/\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*/
Here's what you need to know about the Hash:
**All Welcome:**
If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know:
• Physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful.
• The aim is to find the 'Beer Stop' at the end of the 'trail' and have fun.
• 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running) and some over-achieving fast runners will go further.
• The 'Hare', which changes each event, cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change.
• After Trail, we group for \~30-45 minutes for drinks, snacks and some fun. This 'Circle' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark).
**Why bother leaving your warm sofa?**
If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing.
'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (Hashs) in most major cities. Its humour and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.*
We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups.

🌅 Weekly Morning Walk with Dogs
Let’s start our Thursday with a relaxed outdoor walk together with dogs 🐕🌲
This is a weekly, easy-paced morning walk in Leimbach area, perfect to get some fresh air before work and let the dogs move and sniff in nature.
Possonoe coffee at Kuhn bakery in Manegg afterwards.
**What to expect**
• Easy, relaxed pace
• Path along the river and green areas
**When**
📅 Every Thursday
🕖 07:00 - 08:00
**Where**
📍 Leimbach station
**Good to know**
We go unless the weather is really bad.
If it’s rainy, we keep it short and stay on the flat paths.
ZH3 Hash # 1714: The Democratic Beer Hash
Hare (someone to set the route) is Ice Footsie. Come join us!
By popular demand, bag drop and on after will be BIERlab - sometimes the hash can be a bit predictable...
**When:**
We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm.
There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards.
**All Welcome:**
If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know:
• We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful.
• The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun.
• 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further.
• The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change.
• **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards.
**Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?**
If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it.
'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.*

Free In-Person Events: How to Let Go of the Past and Move Forward
The emotional pain from past bad experiences easily lingers in the present, making it hard to enjoy life and create your future. Even when you think you've moved on, the negative emotions can be triggered, sending you back into the pain of that experience.
And we are talking about pain; emotions such as grief, depression, anxiety, fear (or terror), boiling anger, simmering resentment, feelings of shame, blaming and regret can leave you incapacitated to a greater or lesser degree.
In this local event we will be discussing the reasons why these past bad experiences have the power to affect you long after they occurred. We'll go over why the emotional pain can be so strong. We'll also discuss some simple solutions to overcome your emotional pain and be free to fully enjoy your life again.
Examples of painful experiences include:
* A broken relationship or divorce.
* Death or loss of a loved one.
* Death of a pet.
* A sudden shock or bad news.
* A betrayal.
* Being part of an abusive relationship.
* A bad injustice.
* Loss of a job, position or business.
* A grave illness or injury.
The negative emotions from these experiences don't just go away on their own. But the good news is there is a way to clear them out of your way.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is sponsored the Dianetics & Scientology Self-Improvement Center.

Adventures in Ecological Horticulture
with Rebecca McMackin
Wednesday, March 18
1:00pm - 2:30pm
Gone are the days when a garden could be ornamental alone. We now recognize the impact that our land care practices have on the ecosystems around us, and can see the importance of encouraging biodiversity. Thankfully, we do not need to sacrifice beauty when we invite butterflies and songbirds into our gardens.
Rebecca McMackin has cultivated gorgeous landscapes in the toughest environments possible: urban parks, school playgrounds, and the sidewalks of New York City. She will take lessons from her work at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Brooklyn Museum, and decades of research to share how those of us who are fortunate enough to care for land, can do it beautifully and ecologically.
Rebecca McMackin is an ecologically obsessed horticulturist and garden designer. She writes, lectures, and teaches on ecological landscape management and pollination ecology, as well as designs the rare public garden.
She is currently Lead Horticulturist for the American Horticultural Society, an Associate with the Harvard Divinity School’s Thinking with Plants and Fungi Initiative, and Consulting Arboretum Curator for Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, NY.
Rebecca spent a decade as Director of Horticulture of Brooklyn Bridge Park, where she managed 85 acres of diverse parkland organically. Their research into cultivating urban biodiversity and ethical management strategies has influenced thousands of people and entire urban parks systems to adopt similar approaches.
She has been published by and featured in the New York Times, Gardens Illustrated, on NPR and PBS. Her garden for the Brooklyn Museum recently won the PPA’s Award of Excellence and her TED Talk has been viewed over a million times. She holds M.Sc. from Columbia University and University of Victoria in landscape design and biology and recently completed the Loeb Fellowship at the
Harvard Graduate School of Design.
This program is presented in partnership with Rooted in Bexley and generously funded by the Bexley Community Foundation and Bexley Community Author Series Fund.
Friday night social: Let's go to scene 75!
We’re heading back to Scene75 on Friday, March 27 for a high-energy night of laser tag, mini golf, go-karts, arcade games, and whatever chaos we decide to get into.
We’ve done this one before and it was a blast — great turnout, tons of laughs, and just the right mix of competition and hanging out. If you missed it last time, this is your shot.
🎯 What to Expect:
Laser tag battles
Mini golf challenges
Go-karts (for those who need speed)
Arcade games & game cards
You can load however much you’d like onto a game card. Most people will probably be good with $15–$30, but it’s totally up to you.
This is a super casual event — show up, jump into whatever looks fun, rotate groups, and hang out. No pressure, no complicated structure. Just a solid Friday night with good people.
Also… I haven’t hosted in a bit and I’m making a push to be more active again. If you’ve got ideas for future events you’d love to do, bring them. I’m all ears.
Let’s run it back. 🔥

Celebrate National Chip and Dip Day!
***Okay, call me crazy but you have got to try their chip n dip!*** Club 185 is a true hidden gem in German Village! Seriously, old school, good comfort food and drink. We will try to gather in spaces near the windows. While we'll share Chip n Dip, you'll want to order a sandwich, too.
**Where the Chip Began (1817)**
Potato chips can be traced back to an English chef, William Kitchiner, who includes ‘crisps’ in his bestselling cookbook, “The Cook’s Oracle.”
**Chip and Dip Popularity**
The popularity of chip and dip skyrockets at the end of World War II with new entertainment fads and the introduction of Lipton’s new advertising campaign for their famous French Onion Dip. (Club 185 doesn't openly admit it, but I'm pretty sure that's their dip recipe!)
**[Club 185](http://club185.com/)**—a true neighborhood bar serving since 1954, when it was known as a local 'speak-easy'. Located in German Village, Club 185 features a menu of quality casual comfort food and full bar. From politicians to lawyers, hardhats to hipsters—all find Club 185 the perfect place to tame their hunger and quench their thirst!
**PARKING**: I know, brick street parallel parking can be a pain. Two other choices, metered parking along Livingston heading towards Children's Hospital or across the street in the large church lot (park in spaces farthest away from the church entrance doors, closer to the street).
**PRE-EVENT**: **HAPPY HOUR (3-5pm)**: Italian drinks and bites at [Cento's happy hour](https://centogermanvillage.com/menus/), nearby.
