SHELLGym
⚠️ **REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED VIA [LUMA](https://luma.com/7adqd4e9)** ⚠️
**ABSTRACT**
SHELLgym is the regular cybersecurity workout you have been looking for! Whether you're just starting out and need some exercises, studying for a cert (hint: OSCP), looking at CTF challenges, or developing something cybersecurity-related (maybe your own automated tools?), SHELLgym aims to help you progress in picking up practical cybersecurity knowledge and skills. Come and go as you please, work on your own stuff with like-minded individuals, or just have fun during the workout!
**AGENDA**
Getting and using shells.
Finally, a topic in SHELLgym that covers shells! For this session, we'll talk about remote access, from exploits versus payloads, to simple persistency. Then, we'll do some triaging and threat hunting to detect such shells in our environment. The session will roughly follow this sequence:
1\. Remote access: bind/reverse shells
2\. A simple\, traditional killchain from exploit to payload to persistency
3\. Getting inspired by MITRE TTPs
4\. Threat hunting
**⚠️ NOTE**
Requirements: a computer, so that you can connect to the network, administer your shells, and enjoy a more interactive hands-on experience.
**VIRTUAL SHELLgyms in APRIL** (by request)
Hosted on Discord, do approach KK or the Div0 Crew for access !
**TRAINER**
**KK "Jim" Tan — Founder, counterShell**
As a mid-careerist convert to cybersecurity, **Jim** picked up his practical skills through getting OSCP certified and by participating in a variety of CTFs. In his career at CSIT, he performed a variety of red-teaming and vulnerability research roles and established the Cyber Training School at CSIT as the Lead Instructor. Besides the OSCP certification, Jim is also OSCE and OSEE certified, and has a Bachelor's degree in Social Science (Psychology). He now sees psychology as a field of study where you fuzz humans until they produce unexpected behaviour.

April 2026 - Werewolves are coming!
HI EVERYONE.
The Wolf King has finally returned.
And this time… he’s hungry again.
After a long disappearance, steps back into the shadows —
bringing with him the hunt, the chaos, and the mind games you’ve been missing.
New players, veterans, bluffers, quiet killers…
all are welcome. Just remember not everyone here is human.
## 🩸 LETTER FROM THE WOLF KING
Listen well, fragile villagers.
I have been away… but the hunt never stopped.
The forest has grown silent, and my pack has thinned.
But now, under the rising blood moon,
we gather once more.
Some of you will stand with me.
Most of you will fall.
You may think this is a game —
but when night comes,
you will learn the difference between hunter… and prey.
Come. Sit at my table.
Let me see if you survive the night.
Sincerely,
Wolf King

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games!
The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime!
Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!
