Government Contracting

This is the first in-person working session for the Abundance Federation Dublin group. We’re bringing together a small group of engineers, designers, and data-minded people to work on real civic tech. We already have: * a working Kindness & volunteering platform (profiles, communities, messaging, tasks, incentives) * early infrastructure plans for building public, ethically governed AI datasets To reach our goals we need focused work to deliver usable MVPs. On the night we’ll: * walk through the current platform (warts and all) * outline the data infrastructure work at a high level * break into small groups to identify: * what’s most broken * what’s feasible for volunteers * who wants to keep working on what This first session is primarily aimed at people interested in helping shape and build the technical foundations — engineering, design, data infrastructure, or product. That said, the wider group is deliberately mixed. Not everyone here will write code, and that’s expected. Over the coming months we’ll also be forming: * data collection and annotation teams (including student and adult groups), * testing and feedback groups for the platform, * and field-based activities (e.g. environmental and farming data days). If you’re interested in those kinds of contributions, you’re very welcome — this first meetup is just the starting point. The Meet Up will be: * In-person, in the Digital Hub, Dublin * Thursday Feb 12th , 7–9pm * Pizza and soft drinks provided * We’ll aim to finish on time around 9pm. * For anyone who’s up for it, a few of us will likely head to a nearby pub afterward

This Meetup was created as a sacred place for those who feel called to explore consciousness, spirituality, personal growth, and the deeper aspects of who we are. We come together every two weeks not for casual socializing, but to connect with depth, presence, and authenticity. Everyone’s perspective is welcome here without judgement. My intention for this gathering is to be conscious and deliberate—like a living container that supports us all in being seen, heard, and understood. This space may not be for everyone—and that’s okay. If you’re looking for light social banter or casual networking, this group may not resonate with you. But if you feel called to walk into a space where people speak from the heart, share with honesty, and lean into spiritual exploration with wonder and sovereignty—then you’re in the right place. We don’t always know where the conversation will flow—but we trust the current. And every time, it brings us to understanding each other from a deeper level. To get to the walk start from town:- Clontarf dart station is just a short walk away. Or there are lots of bus stops close by too. ast year we packed up a few projects, a pile of flyers, and the usual “sure we’ll only be there an hour” optimism… and had a brilliant day out at the Phoenix Amateur Radio Club annual rally in Coolmine. Good news: it’s on again this year, and we’ll be back along representing TOG — **EI0TOG** — for a chat, a catch-up, and a bit of radio craic. ### Radio rallies are for everyone If you’ve never been to a radio rally, don’t let the name put you off. They’re **not just for licensed amateurs** or hardcore collectors — they’re for anyone who likes **electronics, making, fixing, DIY, audio gear, test equipment, and learning how things work**. You are invited to come and enjoy this social event. it's open to all age groups. As usual you will be able to meet friends and soon to be friends in a great bar for drinks and social conversation. Dress to impress - The Baily is premium establishment with a smart and neat dress code. Any thing less means you may be turned away by the door staff. It should be quite easy to find me/the organiser. There may be a second location for those that are dressed well and want to drink, chat and dance for the remainder of the night :) Attendees will be expected to purchase at least 1 drink alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Otherwise the bar management will have there bar full of non paying customers which is not good for their business. ---- If you would like to organise events let the organiser know.
