AI Crew Talk: From AI experiments to everyday value
AI Crew Talk: From AI experiments to everyday value
**Trying AI tools is easy. Making them actually useful inside a company is where things get complicated. This Crew Talk focuses on the stage where AI stops being an experiment and moves into real-world use: with real data, real users, and real business limits.** Join us on **Tuesday, February 24**, for an evening focused on how AI works in practice, not just in theory. Five speakers from data science, engineering, education, and business roles will share their experience with building AI systems, training people to use them, and turning AI into something that truly works in real organizations. [ Register here ](https://applifting.io/events/crew-talk-from-ai-experiments-to-everyday-value) **if you want to attend in person. Spaces are limited and our event planner Anetka would be sad if we had to turn you away at the door!** **Who’s speaking?** **[David Omrai](https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-omrai-9797011b7/),** full-stack developer at DX Heroes, will open with insights on why generic AI workshops often fail and how tailored training helps teams actually use AI in their daily work. **[Jakub Marian](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jakub-marian/)**, senior data science & AI architect at Colours of Data, will follow by explaining the limits of AI agents and what it takes to build systems that work reliably in real companies. The panel discussion will bring together three perspectives on making AI work beyond prototypes. **[Barbora Malinovská](https://cz.linkedin.com/in/barbora-malinovska/cs)**, client success manager at Applifting, will share the client view on building AI that’s clear and usable within organizations. **[Tomáš Herman](https://www.linkedin.com/in/herman-tomas/)**, AI engineering lead at Applifting, will add an engineering perspective on reliable agentic systems for real-world use. The panel will be rounded out by **[Tomáš Mátl](https://www.linkedin.com/in/tomasmatl/)**, CEO of Colours of Data, who will connect AI initiatives with business impact and value. **We look forward to meeting you!** **Schedule:** **17:30 – Doors open** * Get your ticket ready, say hello to others, and have a drink with us. **18:00 – Introduction by Filip Kirschner** * Our co-founder Filip will give you a short welcome and introduce our speakers. **18:15 – Tailored AI workshops: Why "one size fits all" fails with David Omrai** * *Why do many AI trainings fail to change how people actually work? David shows how workshops built around real tools and workflows help teams integrate AI into daily practice, while setting realistic expectations about limits like context size and hallucinations.* **18:30 – From simple automation to enterprise platforms: Building a virtual data scientist with Jakub Marian** * *What does it take to build an AI agent that truly works with enterprise data? Jakub shares lessons from developing a “Virtual Data Scientist” and explores why many agent setups that look good in demos break in real corporate environments.* **18:50 – 10-minute break** **19:00 – Panel discussion with Barbora Malinovská, Tomáš Herman, and Tomáš Mátl** * *A discussion on what happens after the prototype: aligning AI with real users, keeping systems reliable outside demos, managing risks, and connecting AI efforts to real business outcomes.* **20:00** — **Q&A session** * *Your turn. We’re open to any questions or comments you have.* **20:30 – Networking, food & drinks ** * Snacks and drinks, including draft beer, will be available for you all evening. Get ready to network with Applifters! **22:00 – Time to say goodbye!** * Some of us may move on to a pub, but the doors of Applifting are closing, and we'll look forward to seeing you next time! For capacity reasons, **please let us know if you will** [attend in person](https://applifting.io/events/crew-talk-from-ai-experiments-to-everyday-value) or participate online. The presentations will be streamed, but we would love to see you there. We look forward to meeting you!

137. [pro:]TEST! B. Foglová, T. Topol - AI fuckupy očima QA - Real story
**Anotace přednášky:** Naše povídání „AI Fuckupy očima QA“ mapuje cestu od prvotního nadšení z no-code nástrojů a N8N až po tvrdý náraz do reality. Ukážeme vám, co se stane, když se manažerské sny o rychlých úsporách potkají s technickými limity. Zjistili jsme (často draze), že Data Science není Full Stack a že i takzvaný „Judge Agent“ si umí vymýšlet stejně kreativně jako každý jiný agent pracující s daty. Prošli jsme si peklem okolo ROI, bezpečnosti i AI Actu, abychom nakonec našli funkční systém.

Reproducible dependency management in C++
Reproducible dependency management in C++
Reproducible dependency management in C++ without sacrificing development velocity by [Alex Vilchanski](https://www.linkedin.com/in/alex-vilchanski-5a3083279/) Ever went back in your project in git history and painstakingly guessed, which versions of the five internally developed dependencies should you even check out to make it compile? Managing dependencies in C++ is still not trivial, especially if you want to build your product with both internal (company) and external dependencies and your goal is to enable fearless dependency management by the not-so-experienced team members. Oh, and you work in an industry that requires you to be able to make patches to old software in reasonable time. Or you just want to bisect that nasty bug, and oh, it's not a monorepo or a super-build project where one can just check out a single revision. Well, I may have something useful for you: a combination of CPM and Conan that should cover most of the teams' needs that usually arise when starting greenfield projects or ecosystems, which is currently the case for me at work. As you've probably heard, many problems are "people" problems, and therefore the presented ideas require fine-tuning and adjustment for your use-case. Since dependency management is an everlasting issue (especially in C++), I also hope to inspire some further discussion in the room and as it often happens, perhaps the audience can suggest further improvements. Puzzle card creation - paper, watercolors, folding and creativity!
Puzzle card creation - paper, watercolors, folding and creativity!
**PUZZLE CARD WORKSHOP - FREE EVENT - ARTS & CRAFTS!** February 26 Přístav 7, Holešovice (V Přístavu 24) From 7:00 PM Before love notes were instant, they were folded. Carefully. With intention. In the 18th and 19th centuries, people used Victorian puzzle purses to hide poems, romantic messages, and tiny keepsakes — sometimes even a lock of hair — inside beautifully folded paper. You had to open them step by step to get to the heart of it. The idea comes from Japanese Tato origami, and later became a popular (and very personal) way to court in England and America. No envelopes, no seals — just clever folds keeping the secret safe. In this workshop, we’re giving this old tradition a modern life. You’ll make your own puzzle purse using beautiful paper, and turn it into a card, a love note, or a small gift wrapper that actually feels special. No experience needed. Just hands, paper, and a bit of curiosity.
