Workshop: Analyse your Receipts with Tensorix
Workshop: Analyse your Receipts with Tensorix
Build a private AI app in one evening Sometimes you do not want to send your data away to someone else's cloud. You want private AI on infrastructure you can rely. Tensorix ([www.tensorix.ai](http://www.tensorix.ai/)) offers: 30+ open-weight models (DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi and friends) on EU-sovereign infrastructure with no data retention, behind a drop-in OpenAI-compatible API. This is a hands-on workshop. Bring a laptop. You will leave with: * A working app you built yourself, running on your laptop * A pipeline that extracts text from images * A receipt classifier you can show your colleagues, and the skills to extend it * A Tensorix account, set up and loaded with free credits (pay-as-you-go after that, no monthly fees or minimums) * Pizza eaten On the night I will step through building a Streamlit app using spec-driven development, connecting it to Tensorix, and getting your colleagues using it. No AI experience needed; a little Python helps. I code in cursor so downloading that will help. But if you know another ide you will be fine to use that. If you can sign up at https://tensorix.ai/ for an account that will save some time. Tensorix are hosting us at their space and are providing the LLM credits and the pizza. It is a workshop with limited numbers so please keep your rsvp accurate if you can.

Day of Arts - workshops & artistic presentations
Day of Arts - workshops & artistic presentations
Art has long been a means to express and perceive universal values of beauty and harmony by finding an expression to unite opposites, like light and darkness, sounds and silences or movement and stillness. And the artist, like the philosopher, finds a way to make the invisible visible or perceivable, whether in paintings, sculptures, music, dance, poetry and so much more. Join us for an afternoon in the search for Wisdom through Philosophy & Art. **2pm Introduction ‘The Muses’ (Free)** Introduction to the day, with a short talk on the ‘The Muses’, inspiring poetry and dramatic readings. **Ongoing workshop – “Making a shared mosaic” (Free)** From all the individual pieces of tiles there emerges a beautiful unity, each piece is different and contributes to the collective. This is one of the key principles in Mosaic art. Learn more about this and the fundamentals of creating mosaics and how to create simple designs using colourful tiles. ***All are welcome! No experience necessary for any of the activities.*** There are also 2 other workshops running on the day, please click the links below to find out more. **From 2.30pm - Bodypercussions & Vocals (€7, 1.5 hours)** https://www.meetup.com/philosophy-in-rathmines/events/314398224/?eventOrigin=group_upcoming_events **From 3pm - Making your own sistrum (€5, 30 mins)** https://www.meetup.com/philosophy-in-rathmines/events/314398170/?eventOrigin=group_upcoming_events00

An Introduction to Abstraction // A weekend workshop with Artist Nuala Clarke
An Introduction to Abstraction // A weekend workshop with Artist Nuala Clarke
## An Introduction to Abstraction // A weekend workshop with Artist Nuala Clarke // Saturday June 28th & Sunday June 29th // 10:00 - 16:00 **BOOK HERE - https://www.tickettailor.com/events/skillsets/2204721** We are delighted to welcome back Artist Nuala Clarke to Flux Studios to teach a weekend painting workshop exploring the world of abstraction. If you have ever had a desire to paint abstractly but don't know how to go about it, this class lays the groundwork with practical exercises in a relaxed, and experimental atmosphere. In this workshop we will take a look at our own preferences, connect to ourselves through the senses and find ways to make non-figurative work infused with personal vision. Abstraction is a means of noting that which has no fixed physical form. Colour, shape, texture and the ineffable can be combined to make an object which expresses that which has no words. Most people have important relationships with colour – we will be taking a deep look at our own preferences. This course is for all levels, no experience of working abstractly or with water based media is necessary. Some materials will be provided, though a small materials list will be sent to each participant. **Course Fee: €270** **Your Tutor:** Nuala Clarke is a visual artist and writer. Born in Dublin, she moved to New York City after attending NCAD. She lived and worked as a painter in NY for 20 years. Her work is exhibited in the US and Europe, is held in many private, public and corporate collections. She is represented by & Claremorris Gallery in Co. Mayo. In 2007, Clarke received a fellowship and residency to The Ballinglen Arts Foundation, in Mayo. This area became the locus of her work and she moved there in 2013. Meanwhile, she began collaborating with Crystal Gandrud. Together they wrote and imaged an artful, irreverent commentary of Atisa’s Lojong Slogans titled Radiating Outwards, Incrementally, A Manual, published in 2024. Clarke has been conducting research into the healing probabilities of abstract art since 2020 prompted by her study of the Irish Natural Philosopher and alchemist Robert Boyle (of Boyles law). She has presented papers at the Robert Boyle Summer School, and was awarded an Irish Arts Council Bursary for experimental research. She was most recently commissioned to honour Robert Boyle with abstract paintings at The John Sterne Library at Trinity Medical School, in Dublin. Her book Irish Moss of a Dead Man’s Skull was published by The Owl Circus in March 2025.
