A regular meetup for those committed to practising and improving their Arabic. It is designed for those who know the very basics and want a structured opportunity to practise reading, listening, speaking, and building confidence. If you're still learning the very basics but want some motivation to keep going, you're very welcome to join.
Note: This is a practice group facilitated by a native speaker - not a formal teacher or taught class, and not a Quran teaching session.
📚 SESSION FORMAT:
⏱️ 30 mins Intro & Social: We'll go around and introduce ourselves in Arabic. Feel free to prepare 2-3 sentences beforehand if you don't like being put on the spot!
🗣️ 60 mins Structured Practice: A focused session practising together with guidance :
◾ Taking turns reading passages aloud
◾ Listening to excerpts from an audiobook
◾ Working together to translate and understand the text

Krishnamurti Inspired Sunday Dialogue
**Here we meet up outside of the restaurant setting, in a beautiful room at the Tibetan Buddhist Centre in London. The quiet venue is helpful for perhaps a greater deep dive and attention to our topic.**
Together we shall be exploring some of the themes that Krishnamurti is proposing but, more importantly, that we ourselves are facing in our everyday life.
Krishnamurti is showing us what he sees about human conditioning and the lack or freedom and love that dominates existence.
Our inquiry is to see this conditioning for ourselves and to bring about fundamental change.

As we sit together and exchange on these unresolved topics of life, we will be confronted with the living limitations of our relationships in the group.
What is real listening to each other or is my listening and attention already conditioned? What is real inquiry and can we think together during our dialogue?

Robert Kramer is the Data Systems and State Reporting Coordinator at South Western City Schools in Grove City. He has worked there for 17 years, serving previously in the roles of Data Analyst, Programmer, and Operations Coordinator. Prior to working at South Western, he worked as a Systems Engineer at Pinnacle Data Systems in Groveport. He graduated in 2005 from The University of Toledo with his Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering, and a minor in Mathematics.
