Cette année, l'événement est consacré aux galaxies, à l'occasion du centenaire de la découverte d'Edwin Hubble montrant que la nébuleuse d'Andromède était en réalité une galaxie semblable à la nôtre. Cette découverte a profondément transformé notre vision de l'Univers et ouvert un siècle d'exploration cosmique. Au fil de la soirée, des chercheuses et chercheurs présenteront l'état actuel de nos connaissances sur les galaxies : de la Voie Lactée et du Groupe Local jusqu'aux premières galaxies apparues quelques centaines de millions d'années après le Big Bang. Advice for a good moment : ● Leave your ego and mask at home, we are not here to impress anyone but to be ourselves with our strength, weakness, pride and shame. Come with an open/deep/emotional/complex thought and vulnerability. ● Ask open-ended questions and invite the other person to describe what a situation was like for them or how they felt. ● Don't hesitate to be vulnerable and share information about yourself if needed. Consider sharing personal information first to gain the other person's trust. ● Adopt an attitude of curiosity and genuine interest in what the other person is saying. Be thoughtful and try to put yourself in the other person's shoes so that you can see things from their perspective. Be truthful, caring and honest. ● Listen actively and ask follow-up questions. ● Be empathetic and offer emotional validation so that they feel seen and heard. It is forbidden to judge, but try to understand. ● ⏱ Be aware of your speaking time for Equally Speak. ● 🤫 Be aware never to provoke political or religious ideologies, but to accept differences of belief. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds. **Step 3: Walk, talk & float** We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity.
