🔝 A challenging hike up to the mythical Pedraforca mountain! 🔝 *¡Subimos la montaña más mítica de Cataluña. Una verdadera obra de arte de la naturaleza!* VER LA TRADUCCIÓN AL CASTELLANO + ABAJO ⤵️ **The Plan** 🥾 The Pedraforca (2,506m), is one of the most emblematic mountains of Catalonia. Its particular shape with its 2 twin peaks (some says it has a heart shape) have given birth to many legends for centuries. The hike to the top of the Pedraforca has become one of the mythical excursions every mountaineer should do in Catalonia. We'll do the hike from and back to the picturesque vilage of Gosol. Starting the ascent to Pedraforca from Gósol provides a quieter and often more solitary mountain experience, with fewer hikers on the trail and greater chances to spot wildlife. We'll ascend towards the shaded side of the Tossa range, passing through beautiful pine forests. We'll reach the ridge of the range and tackle the long uphill traverse to the Enforcadura. From this point, we make the final ascent to the summit of Pollegó Superior. 🚦**Difficulty**: High. Appart from the gain of altitude, the climb from the Enforcadura to the summit of Pollegó Superior is quite challenging and may require using your hands on more than one occasion. However, there is no sense of exposure. Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area.
