Bagua is a style of Kung Fu that uses circular movements and evasive stepping to overcome force with smoothness.
It is similar to Tai Chi, but faster and more dynamic.
We will meet at 3 pm on the grass near the front gate of Alexander Muir Memorial Garden near the corner of Yonge and Lawrence.
Our focus will be on strong kung fu basics, developing body and mind and self defense.

đŚđď¸ DANFORTH WALK, BUTTERFLY MURAL & GREEK LUNCHđď¸đŚ
**DANFORTH WALK, BUTTERFLY MURAL & GREEK LUNCHď¸**
Street Culture, Public Art & A Proper Greek Feast
Thereâs something about the Danforth that feels like old-school Toronto in the best possible way â vibrant, layered, proudly local, and full of stories.
Join us for a social walk along one of the cityâs most iconic stretches: **Danforth Avenue**. As we stroll west toward downtown, weâll pass lively patios, long-standing family restaurants, cozy cafĂŠs, independent shops, and the everyday rhythm of a neighbourhood that has shaped Torontoâs cultural identity for generations.
This area is famously home to the annual **Taste of the Danforth**, one of the largest street festivals in the city â and historically, it was once home to the largest Greek community outside of Greece. You feel that history in the bakeries, the signage, the music drifting from open doors.
Itâs not just a walk.
I
tâs a little slice of Toronto heritage â experienced together.

Big, generous comfort food energy

AI Professionals Networking Lunch - Bangkok Garden - $5 Meetup Fee
**Note: This is a Waiting-List-Only Event: There is a $5 Meetup fee that must be e-Transferred to me before your spot can be confirmed.**
**⢠*Please be on time* \- we're looking forward to hitting the buffet as soon as it opens\, to give us maximum opportunities to network and engage with our group members\!**
Iâve made a reservation for a group of 14 people at **Bangkok Garden** (18 Elm St) for an intentional networking lunch. This session is strictly for **AI Professionals (AIP)**: founders and practitioners in the AI space. Whether you're deep into Machine Language, deep learning, data science, blockchain, GenAI or training your own LLM, this is your opportunity to actually meet some of your peers out in the real world, to have some high-level technical and strategic conversations.
**THE EXPERIENCE:**
* **The Venue - Bangkok Garden:** A soaring, high-ceilinged Thai "oasis" near Dundas Station.
* **The Meal:** A full Thai lunch buffet.
* **The Cost:** You are responsible for your own buffet bill at the restaurant (approx. **$24.00 + tax + 18% gratuity**, totalling roughly **$32.00**).
**HOW TO SECURE YOUR SEAT:**
1. **Join the Waitlist.**
2. I will DM the first 20 people on the waitlist with e-Transfer details.
3. A **$5.00 non-refundable commitment fee** is required to move from the Waitlist to the "Going" list.
4. Your seat is only confirmed once the fee is received. Unpaid spots will be offered to the next person on the waitlist after 2 hours.
**THE GOAL:** To cut through the noise and meet the actual builders in the Toronto AI scene. No generic "small talk" needed - this is just a group of 15 AI practitioners discussing all things AI, from LLM implementation to agentic workflows, the latest GenAI models, and the future of the stack.

Contra dance with Big Scioty on March 7 - First Congregational Church
**Caller: Frank Buschelmann**
**Band: The Rosenthorns**
**Big Scioty Contra Dance**
**temporarily returning to our long ago location for Jan-March - First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad St., Columbus 43215**
WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like youâve seen in period films such as âPride and Prejudiceâ, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. Thatâs English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like âswing your partnerâ and âdo-si-do,â like youâve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alĂĄ âRiverdance.â Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THATâs Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.
For more information contact me or check out our website: [www.bigscioty.com](http://www.bigscioty.com/)
Please bring your own refillable water bottle. Snacks to share are always welcome!
