Blood on the Clocktower @OtterChaos
Join OverBoard to play the brilliant social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower in person at the brand new board game cafe Otter Chaos in Brixton.
If you haven’t heard of Blood on the Clocktower before it is an evolution of classic party games like Mafia/Werewolf where a hidden evil team takes on the good team by lying and killing. The good team has a few tricks up their sleeve but will have to work together to deduce who the evil doers are in their midst.
**This is a beginner friendly event so no experience with the game is necessary.**
Please note that a gaming cover charge of \~£5 will be payable by each attendee to the venue so that we can make use of the space. We also encourage you to buy food and drink from the bar so we are supporting the business (I can highly recommend their pizzas!)
If you want to know more about the rules of the game check out this video:

Agentic A.I Hack Night London Hackathon + Drinks + Food
All levels welcomed! Come and use Agentic A.I Skills to build an agent!
Drinks / Food provided, and we're heading to the pub after the Hackathon.
You MUST apply on Luma here:
https://luma.com/hack-night-tessl-may13-2026?utm_source=meetup
## DO NOT RSVP here, you MUST RSVP on Luma,
## What's Hack Night?
Five hours. One room full of builders. Zero fluff. As many demos as we can.
Hack Night at Tessl is a London evening for people who would rather build than posture. You show up with an idea, find a team if you want one, spend a few focused hours shipping with a DJ in the background, and demo what you made before the night ends. Then we head to the pub.
**When**: May 13\, 2026 \| 4:00 PM \- 8:45 PM BST **Where**: Tessl office, London
**Who**: Hosted by : Adam Chan ([https://www.linkedin.com/in/itsajchan/](https://www.linkedin.com/in/itsajchan/?utm_source=luma)), Sam Hooti ([https://www.linkedin.com/in/sam-h-b79850387](https://www.linkedin.com/in/sam-h-b79850387?utm_source=luma)) and HackerSquad with Tessl
The Judges: Four people who've actually built things worth shipping. They'll see your demo and give you real feedback.
**James Pimentel-Pinto** — First European iPhone developer and inventor of the hybrid app model. Built the first mobile banking, eCommerce, and sports apps in the world, with over 27 App Store #1s. Expect feedback on craft, originality, and whether what you shipped could actually live in users' hands.
**Vy Alechnavicius** — Design and product leader, startup advisor. Has worked in human-centric AI, product craft, and developer experience. Expect feedback on product sense and whether what you built actually respects the person using it.
**Lachlan Chavasse** — Former founder of useDaily (personal AI), now launching Frontier Tower in London. Expect feedback on what's actually novel, where the real leverage is, and whether your idea holds up outside the demo.
**Pedro Proença** —Engineering leader who scaled a marketplace startup from 50 to 5,000 people, building the search and personalization that connected buyers and sellers across 40 countries. Then at big tech, helping tens of thousands of engineers ship safely to billions of users. Now at a scale-up working on AI adoption. Expect feedback on what pain you're actually solving, and whether people would keep using what you built.
## Here's How It Works
**4:00 PM - Doors Open**Check in, grab food, meet other builders, form groups, (or solo hack if you want) and decide what you're making.
**4:30 PM - Opening Context**Quick welcome from the host and venue partner so everyone knows the flow for the night.
**5:00 PM - Short Technical Remarks**If there are host or sponsor remarks, they stay short. The point is to get useful context, then get people building.
**5:30 PM - Build Time**Heads down. Music on. Ship something. Use the time to test an idea, explore a tool, or finally build the thing you've been sitting on.
**7:30 PM - Demo Time**Show what you made. Get feedback. See what everyone else shipped.
**8:45 PM - Wrap Up**Final demos, shout-outs, and a clean finish to the night. And of course, Pub! We're heading to a pub nearby for a pint and a proper debrief. Come if you want to keep the conversation going.
## What You Need to Bring
* Your laptop
* An idea, or the willingness to find one there
* A bias toward shipping
Food will be handled. The space is handled. You just need to show up ready to build.
## Who Should Come?
This is for developers, founders, technical operators, and AI-native product people who like building in the same room as other ambitious people. All skill levels are welcome as long as you're ready to participate.
## Why It's Worth It
Hack Nights create the kind of pressure that helps you actually finish something. You leave with a working prototype, a new collaborator, or at minimum a stronger idea than the one you arrived with.
## Ready to Build?
Register below once the page goes live. Space will be limited to the room capacity at Tessl.
## A big thanks to our sponsors for making this happen:

SWARM - London
Something's shifted. The people who've spent years deep in data - the analysts, the engineers, the consultants - are building with AI agents now. **And it's the most exciting thing in a decade.**
New tools. New workflows. Whole new ways of thinking about what data work even means. Everyone's experimenting. Everyone's learning. **Nobody's done this before.**
We couldn't find a community in the UK for people doing this work. So we're starting one. In pubs, with laptops, sharing what's actually working.
No slides. No pitches. No lanyard energy. Just people who build things, showing each other what they've built.
**Bring your terminal. Bring your questions. Bring the thing that's half-working and you can't figure out why.**

Architecture Kata at Zopa Bank
We're delighted to announce an exciting LSCC event on Wednesday 13th May, in partnership with our friends at Zopa Bank!
Join us at the Zopa Canary Wharf office in London for this session and get the chance to flex your architectural design muscles!
"So how are we supposed to get great architects, if they only get the chance to architect fewer than a half-dozen times in their career?" — Ted Neward.
This quote highlights the need for practice, which is what our LSCC architecture katas provide: a safe, repeatable way to hone your software architecture design skills by simulating architectural challenges.
**What's the format?**
You'll be split into groups and have a business problem to solve. You'll be tasked with designing a technical architecture to meet that problem context. As with real-life you'll have to manage various trade-offs in your design and interact with a Product Owner to clarify your questions.
At the end of the task each team will showcase their architecture and technology choices back to the wider group as part of a group discussion.
Whether you're a seasoned coder, software architect or new to the scene, you're invited to share insights, discuss best practices, and learn from fellow participants. No prior session attendance or architecture knowledge is required – just bring your enthusiasm. No laptop is required for this session, we'll provide each group with paper, pens and sticky notes to support the activity.
Thank you to the Codurance team that will run the event at Zopa Bank's office. Find out more at https://www.codurance.com/
Food and drinks will be provided with vegetarian, vegan and non-alcoholic options available - thanks to Zopa Bank for sponsoring refreshments and hosting in their great office.

A Life Improvement free workshop with Maria Bennett.
In this a live in-venue workshop:
\- Do you know your basic purpose?
\- What makes a person's basic purpose?
\- Practical drills to help you define your own basic purpose\.
Pen and paper provided,so - let's get stuck in!!
Using information taken from the book '*Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health*' by L. Ron Hubbard.
*Testimonial:*
*"Great seminar. I liked how you took us through step by step and we found our own basic purposes. It is a common basic purpose for all, I believe. I realised that the spiritual is more important to me than anything else. My purpose is to help others and the webinar validated things I do. I liked how the participants feel free to communicate their situations. My win was that I can use your method to help others find their basic purpose too. Thanks!" - VR*
Maria: I have worked at the Scientology Life Improvement Centre helping and coaching others for over 20 years.
I enjoy this a lot! I have access to tools that anyone can put to use in their life to make the positive improvements that they may be looking for.
I look forward to meeting you.
What can you do after the workshop?
We have various other free services that you could do - such as the free personality test. We also have a lot of Life Improvement Courses. These focus on specific areas of life to help 'unblock' them, put your actual abilities to use!
The Spawn London (Beginner Friendly Game) - Social Deduction on a Cosmic Scale
"Humanity's insatiable appetite to colonise reached far into the stars, but they learned the hard way that some stones should remain unturned. Whilst aggressively terraforming Spawn home worlds, humanity stirred the ancient species out of their slumber and incurred their rage in a cataclysmic event.
Now conflict dances across the cosmos as the Spawn seek violent retribution by assimilating themselves among humanity and destroying them from within. Humanity’s only hope of survival is to detect the Spawn among them and destroy the threat."
The Spawn is a large-scale elimination-based social deduction game where humanity must root out the Spawn which have infiltrated their ranks or be overpowered by them. Strategic gameplay, social subterfuge and gripping sci-fi all in one immersive experience.

**You *must* RSVP using the Attend button on this page.** That's true for both DMs and players.
You must be **18+** to attend.
There's a **£4 fee payable by PayPal or cash** (see below).
Please find **Zander**, the Organiser, on your arrival. You'll then be assigned to a game.
TIMES
Please ensure you arrive **before 1.00pm**. If you arrive late, it may not be possible to find you a game.
If you're part of a group of two or more, you all have to be 18+, RSVP for yourselves (no 'plus ones') and arrive between 12.30pm and 12.40pm on the day, not 1.00pm. If you arrive at 1.00pm, you'll still be able to play, but may be placed in different games.

VENUES AND MONEY MATTERS

The venues accept payment by card, cash, Apple Pay and Google Pay, so please bring one of those.
Please do NOT bring drink from outside except tap water in a transparent plastic bottle. Please do NOT bring food from outside. Bringing food or drink (except tap water) from outside can result in you being permanently banned by the venue's management.

Indiemeet's Monthly Meetup
Help support the group with a tip: [https://ko-fi.com/indierpg](https://ko-fi.com/indierpg)!
This is Indiemeet's monthly meetup. Come along for 13:30 and meet folk.
At 14:00 we start pitching games. Everyone who's brought a game to run gives a short pitch: they say what it's like, how many players it can take and whether it has a GM or not. Then we allocate people to games and play them.
We love people who pitch games, so please do come with something you'd like to run. If you'd like to pitch a game, you'll need to include: number of players, type of game (GMed or GM-less), and a brief blurb of the game.
If it's your first time at Indiemeet, we'll ask what you want to play and try to make sure it runs!
We believe that gaming is for all: Indiemeet believes in providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. We believe that gaming is for everyone, regardless of who you are or your level of experience. Chat with us on Discord: [https://discord.gg/EWE7xmH](https://discord.gg/EWE7xmH)
LET'S PLAY: ZARNITSA Sports Megagame [It's like Russian Capture the Flag]
**Join LCC Sunday, March 8th at the Hackney Marshes playing field as we make another attempt at playing the Soviet Union's very own *Zarnitsa,* a capture-the-flag alternative with a small twist.**
**WHAT IS ZARNITSA?**
Zarnitsa (Зарница), or heat-lightning, officially known as the All-Union Young Pioneer military sports game "Zarnitsa", is a massive multi-player physical sports game developed and practiced by the Young Pioneers communist youth organisation during the Soviet era. The game provides a simulation of military actions such as reconnaissance, co-ordinated offensives, giving chase, etc. Popular once again in modern Russia, this is a simple game designed for children and young people in military/cadet organisations, but great fun for active people of all ages.
The rules of Zarnitsa are based on the classic capture the flag concept. Two teams each have a "base area" with a flag contained within, concealed or otherwise. Each team's goal is to protect their own flag and seize the other team's and bring it back to the base area. Players can walk, run, sneak, hide, create diversions and use any means short of physical violence to achieve their objectives.
What makes Zarnitsa different from classic CTF is simply this: every player has two velcro-attached shoulder straps that serve as health indicators and can be torn off by the opponents. Losing one indicates "wounded", losing two indicates "dead". The "wounded" players cannot run and should only walk. The "dead" players return to a respawn point or leave the game in some modes.
Why are we doing this? Capture the flag is simply top fun and anyone who says otherwise is joking themselves. Zarnitsa's slightly elevated level of complexity should give us just that extra challenge needed to really make it interesting. That said, this is our first go with organising multiplayer sports games, so we'll see what the results are! As always comments, questions, suggestions and concerns are more than welcome - just contact an organiser.
Sports games are a great way to get and stay active, meet new people, and break the monotony of everyday life under British capitalism. Let's get out there!
For our first attempt at organising a little Zarnitsa league here in London, we'll hit up Hackney Marshes and Wick Woodland. We'll divide into two teams; each will receive coloured vests or other garments to which the health indicator strips are attached. Then we'll take up our places, count down from 60 seconds, and let the games begin!
**Note: we'll want at least five people per team for this to really work right, so we'll cancel or reschedule if this one gets less than 9 RSVPs.** There's no limit to how big our group can be of course, so please do join us! Just be sure to either turn up on the day or change your RSVP if you can't make it in the end, just so we know what to expect.
Take care and see you on the pitch!

Summer Kick-Off: THE MANDOLRIAN & GROGU at Lennox Phoenix + Happy Hour at BRAVO!
Join us as we kick off Summer Movie Season with a Happy Hour & a movie event to see the sci-fi action-adventure, THE MANDOLARIAN AND GROGU! The sci-fi action-adventure follows a lone bounty hunter and his apprentice Grogu (Baby Yoda) embark on an exciting new Star Wars adventure. Here are details, a trailer and our plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: In the film, Djarin and his apprentice Grogu are enlisted by the New Republic during a period where remaining Imperial warlords threaten the galaxy. The film is written/directed by Jon Favreau (the mastermind behind the early MCU films) and stars Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White.

HAPPY HOUR PLAN: For Happy Hour food and drinks before the show we’ll meet in the bar area at nearby Bravo at 5:15pm! We’ll have a section reserved for the group, so keep an eye out for us and we’ll keep one out for you! CMG Pro Tip: If you can, bring cash as it helps make for a quicker exit from the restaurant.
MOVIE PLAN: Please purchase your ticket for the 6:45pm showing and meet in the lobby area at 6:30pm! Tickets on sale now and advance purchase as soon as possible is advised! Once you have yours, please list you seat number in the Comments section of this event.
