Indoor Climbing at the Westway
The London Mountaineering Club's weekly club night at Westway takes place every Tuesday. There will be many more of us at the wall than listed on this event. To find us, look for people wearing an LMC T-shirt.
This is a friendly meetup for competent climbers (at all levels of aspiration) to find people to climb with. If you have not climbed at Westway before, you will need to pass Westway's safety test before you can climb unsupervised. If you are unsure whether the centre will allow you to climb unsupervised please message the event organiser on Meetup in advance. We may be able to arrange supervision for you to climb without passing the test but this depends on club members being available to supervise and places will be limited.
The London Mountaineering Club does not charge for this event but you will need to pay the entry fee to Westway and for any gear hired. Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games.
Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it.
We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different.
Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before.
Come solo or bring friends! And stay at the end for the social part!

Join us for our weekly LGBT Climbing Social every Wednesday, a welcoming space for the LGBT community to connect, climb, and have fun! Whether you're new to climbing or a seasoned pro, this social is all about building a supportive community and celebrating our shared love for the sport.
This is a relaxed, no-pressure environment designed to help you enjoy climbing while meeting like-minded people.
Open to all to all members of the LGBT+ community aged 18 and over.
Cost: off peak entry when you say you are joining the LGBT climbing club at reception - £12 - nil charge for gear hire
Note concessions available for Blue light card holders, students, and over 65s (need to bring with you)

Hi, join me every Saturday 12:00 pm for climbing at London Fields. All abilities welcome! we can wind down by grabbing a coffee or tea and maybe a cheeky cake from one one of the many amazing cafes in the area!
Collage Workshop Wimbledon Library
Hello Wimbledon creatives!
After a few successful collage workshops, I have decided to keep it going and I am excited to announce the next one will be on Saturday 11 April 2026 from 2 to 4 pm at Wimbledon Library.
Please ask at the reception for Exhibition Room 1 to find us upon arrival.
The session runs from 2 to 4 pm. Please arrive at 2 pm so we can begin together, and we will finish at 4 pm. I allow 15 minutes at the beginning for setting up and settling in, and 15 minutes at the end for cleaning and packing away, so the creative workshop time itself lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
We will dive into the art of combining magazines, newspaper pages, and coloured paper to craft unique and quirky pieces.
Whether you are feeling a little lonely and want some warm company, looking for a playful and artistic date, simply want to explore your creative side, or are tired of the digital world and want real interactions, this workshop is for you.
Your ticket includes:
All art materials to create your masterpiece but feel free to bring your own magazines or printed materials if you like.
A patient artist guiding you step by step through your artwork.
Let us celebrate our love for art and create interesting artistic collages together.
Please bring a bag to take your masterpiece home.

The Castle climbing wall, "Storm the breach" Sunday mornings!
**About**
THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER has about 135 roped/auto-belays numbered routes with each route having up to 6 grades giving it approx 700 routes in total. THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER offers bouldering, top-roping, leading and auto-belays at their center. Some of us prefer bouldering while others will be in the top roping, leading or auto-belaying - this is up to you! We climb for a couple of hours and then the group regroups at 12.00 noon sometimes without me other times with me in The Brownswood pub, 271 Green Lanes, Finsbury Park, London N4 2EX for a spot of lunch and a libation.

**Meetups**
We get together every Thursday & Sunday at THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER meeting at 9:00am in the warming up area or else look out for someone wearing a black RAMS t-shirt around the center. If you're joining for the first time let us know via message and we will keep an eye out for you at the start :)
**New Climbers!**
Unfortunately, if you haven't climbed before it isn't as easy as just turning up and climbing up the wall. To climb safely you need to understand the hazards and be able to use the equipment correctly. You must have basic climbing skills and know how to put on a harness, attach a rope to a harness using a rethreaded figure of eight(figure of eight on the bight) and know how to use a belay device to pay out the rope and secure a falling climber etc. So before your first climb, you may be required by the climbing center to fill out health and safety forms. This may involve a quick test on climbing rules at the counter on arrival. Please add an extra 10/15 minutes before your session if you need to register for the first time. THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER terms and conditions will apply. Please also note signing up for the Meetup session won’t necessarily grant you access to the center.
**Other communication**
Within these groups, you are possibly likely to develop long-lasting friendships. Don't forget we have a Discord page and WhatsApp https://chat.whatsapp.com/JNJ81oLSKB2JGaNm79em0C. The group will always be very varied when it comes to climbing levels, abilities and modality preferences. Do shout out if you have any questions. If you want to have a chat about this or other meetups, or just to keep in touch, ask to join us on Discord and/or WhatsApp. We have a dedicated THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER chat, but also talk about all things climbing (and some non-climbing!) including trips, gear talks and looking for climbing partner/s situations.
**You’ll Rock it**
A word of warning this sport is very, very addictive once bitten your its mistress for life. The simple challenge of you against the rock is sublime, there are competitions but then really the only real competition is 'you and the rock'. As climbing can be a very social activity we look forward to sharing our passion with yours.

Hike Bexley - UPDATED DATE
Meet at Wolfe Park parking lot by tennis courts. We willl walk along Alum Creek trail, through Jeffrey Mansion Park then along Bexley neighborhood and back.
Optional lunch at Trolley District.
Hike Blacklick Woods and The Canopy. Optional lunch after.
Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!
We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind.
If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.
