Talk 1: **Introduction to the Ash Framework, Why I like it: efficiency in delivery** Speaker: Angy Lemaire Three years ago I stopped enjoying coding. Elixir and Ash reignited that joy because they make delivery faster, more predictable, and more confident. This talk walks through **4 delivery efficiency levers** built into Ash: centralized resources, resource-backed forms, explicit policies, and native multitenancy. Each lever reduces complexity, eliminates duplication, and moves feature work from glue code to business logic. Talk 2: **TrustedServer: Building the Zero-Trace VPN Infrastructure** Speaker: Marco A. Gutierrez, ExpressVPN Traditional VPN servers, relying on hard drives, inherently risk retaining sensitive user data, leaving it vulnerable to seizure, unauthorized access, or the persistent installation of malicious backdoors. This session introduces **TrustedServer Technology**, a fundamental shift in VPN server architecture designed to eliminate these vulnerabilities and establish a new standard for user privacy. Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy.
