But a little bit more seriously, safety is very important, and that is why we are organizing a Lecture on Open Water Swimming Safety, with Marjon. That lecture is free, and you will happen to find some snacks and drinks to have while you learn how to do the sport you love in an even safer way. 'Marjon Huibers will speak about open water swimming safety. Marjon is an open water swimmer through and through. She is a Total Immersion Master Coach and founder and owner of Swimfantastic. Swimfantastic swimming school trains adults who want to swim across the pool for the first time and swimmers who want to swim across the IJsselmeer. She also works as a freelance trainer and examiner for the Dutch Lifeguard Association. She is co-organizer and competition director of the Rondje Pampus. In 2021, she wrote the book "Swim Your Mind Strong" about mental flexibility and swimming. This was followed in 2022 by the ANWB book "Swimming in Nature." \* She will offer discount to ATAC members to sign up for her Lifeguard course. We’re heading into the heart of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug for a beautiful loop hike starting and ending at station Driebergen Zeist. From the station we quickly enter the wide open heather fields of Groote Heidestein, with heather fields, sandy paths, and a wonderfull spacious feeling. We follow these open landscapes all the way to the forests surrounding the Pyramid of Austerlitz. After about 10 kilometers we take a well deserved break at the pyramid. You can grab a snack or drink there, or enjoy your own packed lunch. This is the area where the famous wolf Bram once roamed and made the news. The situation has since settled, so the coast is clear again, but it adds a touch of wild history to the landscape. From here we loop back towards Driebergen Zeist through landgoed Heidestein. This section is full of surprises, including narrow passages and small tunnels that make the walk feel playful and slightly adventurous. Social meetings held most Tuesdays at a local pub/restaurant at 7:00 PM (and often into the wee hours). Attendees call themselves agnostics, skeptics, humanists, non-theists, deists or even theists. All attendees are welcome but should support our vision. Atheists of Columbus (AoC) is part of Omnipresent Atheists (OA). AoC members are invited to join this OA meetup and/or OA Facebook group ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/omnipresentatheists/ ) but are free to continue conversations on the AoC Facebook group ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/columbusatheists/ ). AoC was founded in 2012 as a networking, social group for Central Ohio area humanists, skeptics, atheists, agnostics, nonbelievers, freethinkers, and the curious. It was a member of Columbus CoR and held weekly meetings, mostly on Fridays, for several years but then operated as an online only group for some time. In November 2018, Omnipresent Atheists (OA), a group that routinely meets on Tuesdays, invited AoC to merge. Omnipresent Atheists is a member of the Columbus Coalition of Reason (ColumbusCoR.org). Omnipresent Atheists is a member of the Columbus Coalition of Reason ( http://www.ColumbusCoR.org ). Omnipresent Atheists endorses the mission of the Secular Coalition for America ( http://secular.org ).
