We do not typically table mass market games (Chess, Clue, Monopoly etc.) We often table a variety of games, new and old, to keep things fresh. It is not required that you bring any games yourself, although it is appreciated if you do. In that case, please be prepared to teach whichever games you bring. The focus for each event is to have fun so please adhere to our event etiquette (Jan 2026): 1. Please show up on time (we usually start the non-filler games right when the event starts). 2. The Board Games event is a fun, sociable and charitable event We are a fun, friendly and kind group of people mostly in our 20s, 30s and 40s. Beginners are welcome! We are a very inclusive and social group and we teach people how to play games they have not played before :) We provide a variety of 40+ board games. Discussions on the craft of good storytelling are a big part of the evening. We sometimes 'break' stories with writers - arming them with index cards, working with them to identify key moments in their script, sharpen character objectives, and seek greater conflict to increase stakes in the story. Our goal is to incubate new work, and help writers take their script to the next draft (and beyond). If you would like to have your script read, or 'break' your story idea with the room, please message Jarrett Rusnak. Beer, wine, and snacks will be served. We request a small PWYC to cover expenses.

The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind.
