Once a month, on the last thursday of the month we gather at the Kabooom Comic Shop to enjoy an evening full of new, old and classic board-, card- and dicegames. Join us for some great games and nice and friendly people. Most of the people speak english and german. Feel free to join us anytime. In this creative jewelry and keychain workshop in Zurich, you'll design your very own personalized accessory. With a selection of up to 20 charms, you can unleash your creativity and create your own unique design. Whether playful, minimalist, or colorful – you decide what suits you best. You have several options: you can design a bracelet, create a large keychain, or make two smaller keychains. All materials are provided, so you can get started right away. I'll guide you step by step and show you how to combine and securely attach the charms to ensure your piece is sturdy and long-lasting. The workshop is intentionally simple and accessible, so even beginners without prior experience can easily participate. At the same time, it offers plenty of scope to implement your own ideas and develop individual designs. The relaxed atmosphere encourages you to be creative, experiment, and enjoy the moment. At the end, you'll take your finished accessory home with you – a unique piece that you designed yourself or that makes a wonderful gift. Whether alone, with friends or as a short creative break – this workshop is fun and produces beautiful, personal results.

In this Punch Needle workshop, you'll transform simple threads into a unique work of art. Punch Needle is a modern yet relaxing embroidery technique where loops are created in the fabric using a special needle. This results in textured, soft surfaces and expressive patterns. The workshop is ideal for getting to know Punch Needle, unwinding creatively, or creating something beautiful with your own hands in a short amount of time – no prior experience necessary. At the beginning of the workshop, you'll receive a brief introduction to the basics of the Punch Needle technique. I'll show you step by step how to use the needle correctly, how to guide the thread, and how to create even loops. You'll learn what to pay attention to so that your design is neat and stable. The calm, even movement makes Punch Needle particularly relaxing and perfect for a creative break from everyday life. In the workshop, you can choose between two creative options: Option 1 – Embroider a Design You choose an existing (or your own) design and embroider it without a background. This option is ideal for beginners or anyone who wants to try Punch Needle in a straightforward way. The focus is entirely on the technique and the design itself. Here you can transform your work into a saucer. Option 2 – Design with Background Here you embroider your design including a background. This gives your work more depth and a particularly beautiful, flat texture. This option is suitable for anyone who wants to make their artwork a bit more elaborate. Here you can also transform your work into a saucer or hang it up as decoration. The maximum workshop duration is up to 1 hour. Depending on your pace and design, you can complete your work or a large part of it within this time. I will personally guide you throughout the entire workshop, give you tips, and support you with any questions or uncertainties. Everything is optional – the important thing is that you enjoy the process. All materials are included. You will work with high-quality yarns in various colors, fabric, a hoop, and a punch needle. You don't need to bring anything – except a desire for creativity. You can take your embroidered work home with you at the end, whether as a decoration, a gift, or a personal keepsake. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can sometimes fill esrly. There is additional parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.
