This is a weekly Commander event, at Nic's place in Alexandria. We are a chill semi regular group, most of us have been playing in the Meetup for over a decade and welcome new and veteran members. **Time**: starts at 6pm but show up any time after. We usually go to 10/11. **Format**: still experimenting with the new brackets. If you haven't updated your decks for brackets, thats okay - just let us know before we start. **House rules:** * 1 free extra mulligan, plus 1 extra for any zero or 6+ land hands (show us) * We use Partial Paris Mulligans beyond your free mulligans * We try to follow the bracket list for game changers and play 2 & 3 bracket mostly, but are happy to do house rules to accommodate something (full list and brackets [HERE](https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/commander-brackets-and-game-changers)) * Mana Crypt is permitted\*\*\* * Un cards and other funny non-legal cards can be rule zero/house ruled before the match starts, if you ask us * Proxies are okay, but must be readable * Alcohol is okay, but must use my cup holders and if you get too drunk or rowdy, you are out * I'll provide snacks and some basic drinks **Note**: Location is provided below, but know that you can easily reach my place via metro (King Street then take bus 31 or walk to my house) or from 395 take King Street exit.

I have been pretty quiet here for a minute, but recently started going to the weekly Commander night at Hobby Place and really enjoy it. The right balance of competitive and chill. They get a sizeable turnout, no entry fee (though I highly encourage buying a pack or two to thank the store for hosting). Format appears to be a range of difficulties, I know a few top tier decks are floating around, but most players seem chill and play say 3-7 range on a 1-10 scale. Its also nice to see a store hosting in this area. Its metro accessible and lots of parking on the block around it. From Braddock Metro: * Simply walk East on Wythe St for 10 minutes, the store is on your left. Driving: * Its at the corner of the N Washington St and Wythe. Get there and drive around the block to find street parking. I'm told they will stay open until after midnight for Commander. I've stayed as late as almost midnight, despite the store closing at 9pm. Big kudos to the store staff for being that cool.

Weekly Draft night in NW. We currently meet up at Franklin Hall near 14th and Florida. U Street Metro is the closest stop. I'll have packs but feel free to bring packs if you have them. Entry is $17 (you can bring Play Booster packs to lower the cost by $3.50). If it is a special set, it will be more.

This meetup is for people that want to play table games: board games, strategy games, episodic RPGs, eurogames, card games and co-operative games. NOT A GAMER BUT WANT TO LEARN? We teach them all... Come the whole time or if you just spend 30 minutes. All are welcome. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own coloring supplies but, if you don't have any, I will have plenty and am happy to share! (coloring books, colored pencils, and markers). Part of the mission of this group is to provide us an opportunity to check out AND SUPPORT local businesses. Artistic Artifacts hosts **Open Stitch sessions on the first and third Thursday evenings** from 5:30 - 7:30 pm — join us! Grab a game or bring your own, this event is open play. Whether it is chucking dice, full of traitors, laying tiles, or only cards involved, it doesn't matter; as long as it is a fun game, let's get it to the table and play it. The library will have games available to play but as always, you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own games. So leave a comment about what you are bringing! But be ready to teach your games. Join DC Metro Crafts for the mid-month meetup! Bring your own cross stitch, knitting, crochet, or other portable craft. The Southwest Library is right off the Waterfront Metro. We'll be in Meeting Room 1. Go through both glass double doors and loop around to the right to find us. There are plenty of tables to spread out.

We will be playing **Tapestry** with up to 5 players. All experience levels welcome. Expect the game teach to start promptly within the first 10 minutes. In **Tapestry** players create their civilization by choosing how to advance on 4 advancement tracks (science, technology, exploration, and military) to earn progressively better benefits. Along the way, you will also improve your income, build your capital city, leverage your unique abilities, earn victory points, and gain tapestry cards that will tell the story of your civilization. Learn about new games, play games, meet new friends, and have a good time! All ages and levels of experience/knowledge of games are welcome as long as you have a willingness to learn and/or teach your games. We're doing a "White Elephant"-style spin on Pick-Your-Poison, a few days after Valentine's Day! Two of your packs will be whatever you choose, but ONE will be from a pool of packs that I encourage attendees to bring (I'll have some of my own whipped up ahead of time to make sure we'll have enough, just in case). The pack can be any 15 cards YOU choose to bring--could be 15 Storm Crows, 15 Conspiracies, or 15 Mythic Rares, the choice is yours! Feel free to show up as early as 5:40 for Jumpstart or Planechase Commander. **Here's how PYP draft works:** I have dozens of sets, including just about every "normal" set printed since Battle for Zendikar, and some older/odder ones like M12, Dark Ascension, and Conspiracy 1 and 2. I've also got deluxe packs: New Phyrexia, Shards of Alara, Iconic Masters, and Ravnica Remastered, to name a few. You choose three different packs (for variety's sake, only one of those packs can be from the last 3 sets) and we all sit down and draft with what we've chosen. The price varies based on what you pick (on average it's $18, which would cover three normal packs and $6 prize support). A very Midwest way to spend the night. 🖤 Euchre Night at TownHall Short North brings cards, cocktails, and community together for an easygoing evening of friendly competition. All skill levels welcome—confidence encouraged.

The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

(You may have to stand in line, though. The Extension is popular.) You can come late or leave early. Private Group. Closed to the Public Knowing ourselves and understanding our abilities is the first step toward wielding our gifts with control and accuracy. In subsequent classes we will verify and hone our talents with activities and discussion. These are hands-on workshops and participation is expected. The goal of our series will be to develop expertise in areas of particular interest such as mediumship, channeling, divination, healing and, etc..
