This is a low-key happy hour bringing together designers and creatives across disciplines in the DMV to kickback, connect, and share ideas—no panels, no pitches, no pressure. When you come up the first set of escalators, turn left to enter the underground shops and then turn left again after a brief walk. Cross the street, enter the next building, and the seating area will be on the left after passing the Minuteman Press Printing and Marketing shop. **Parking:** If you're driving, garage parking is free after 4 pm. Enter the garage on 2144 Crystal Drive. There will be elevators that take you up to the main level. Join DC Metro Crafts for our first Thursday meetup. Bring your own cross stitch, knitting, crochet, or other portable craft. The Southwest Library is right off the Waterfront Metro. We're upstairs in Conference Room 1 (not 2). Note: The RSVP limit for this is 8 people. It's a small room and all that was available. Please make sure to rsvp if you're coming.

Bring your project and join a boisterous group of crafters in the Kogod Courtyard of the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery - American Art Museum. This glass roofed space is climate controlled and has the most beautiful light for crafting. (If there's an event in Courtyard head over to the MLK library Cafe.)

***Meet us in the Rockville Library, Collaboration room #4 where we will attempt to run clean scans of gold samples, and then clean up that data with post processing.*** This is a high sensitivity experiment, and we do not plan on being successful so early. But we've had promising results lately - so we will be putting in the time. This will allow us to scan and visualize a single atom - an ambitious we are doing over the course of a few months. The MoCo Makers community is one of the most innovative and competent groups in Maryland, and we've done everything from [publishing cancer research](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38136356/), to [launching products](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gotim/cozy-curvy-multi-contour-pillow), [winning grants](https://covidinfocommons.datascience.columbia.edu/awards/2014255), and inspiring thousands. Now our biggest challenge yet has appeared. We are building a Scanning Tunneling Microscope, that will allow us to scan and visualize single atoms. Open gaming at Panera! New players welcome. We have many games on hand or you can bring your own. We are happy to teach or learn one of yours.

Casual Commander and craft beer on the Red Line! We are the regular play group for NE DC! New folks are always welcome. Bring your favorite decks for some casual Commander, and feel free to bring a trade binder. Proxies are allowed. City-State Brewing Company is our accommodating host venue, and our location within the brewery may vary. We are often in the back room away from the noise of the crowd, but check for signs or ask at the bar for our location on the day if you don't readily see the group. I ask that you RSVP even if you're a regular so I can make sure we have the right number of tables for our group. First games start at 3 pm.

Join us for a relaxing and creative painting experience where you’ll create your own beautiful **cherry blossom artwork** using acrylic paints on a **16x20 canvas**. This step-by-step guided class is perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike. I will walk you through the entire process, from building the background to adding delicate cherry blossom details, so you can leave with a piece you’re proud of. All materials will be provided, so you can simply arrive ready to paint and have fun!

Come Craft with us at either the MLK Library or the Kogod atrium of the Portrait Gallery. There are generally knitters/crocheters/needle workers in both places. Let's get together virtually! We can chat, show off our current projects, and get some support from our fellow yarn addicts. I have set up a Zoom meeting that anyone with a computer (phones count) with the free Zoom app can access. By Saturday, I will send a meeting ID to all attendees through meetup.

The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

This helps anyone who is waitlisted and it allows me to have an accurate count of attendees as our space is quite limited.
