Crystal City Commander Night
Come play some casual Commander at Crystal City! Bring your favorite decks for some pickup games, and feel free to bring your trade binders if you'd like! **On Thursdays, we play at HIGHLINE RxR, which is the bar located at 2010 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA.** If you have any questions, please join our Discord for the most up-to-date information: https://discord.gg/fBUWvrAVMv
Monthly Scribe Circle
Monthly Scribe Circle
**Join Nova Scribes for an in person Scribe Circle** to practice graphic recording together and build the kind of community that makes solo work feel a little less solo. We'll spend the heart of our time graphic recording a former Nova Scribes talk on visual practice as well as spend some time reflecting on our work and sharing real time feedback. **Who is this for?** Graphic recorders, visual practitioners, sketchnoters and anyone who listens, thinks, and draws at the same time. Whether you've been doing this for years or you're still finding your style, you're welcome here. **No prior experience with the group required.** Bring your paper and markers - a few foam boards will be available. The fee covers the price of the venue.

"Harmonies" at Ledo Pizza Bowie
"Harmonies" at Ledo Pizza Bowie
Join Susan at Ledo Pizza & Pub (Bowie Rt 197) for some last-minute weekday evening gaming. The main game will be Harmonies starting by 7:15. This will be a teaching game, so it's okay if you haven't played it before. Harmonies is a great weekday game: it plays in about an hour and has a nice level of thinky-ness without a lot of rules overhead. If you're familiar with Azul and/or Cascadia, it's kind of like those two games had a baby. **If you'd like to order dinner, please arrive by 6:30** to have time to order and eat before we start playing. (If you need to come a little later, you can message me your order ahead of time and I'll put it in with our server for you.) I'll bring some quick games so we'll have the option to play something while we're waiting for food, but I find it's often nice to just chat and be social for a bit. **If you'll only be getting a drink or ordering takeout for later, please arrive by 7.** **Location:** Ledo Pizza & Pub is a full-service restaurant with a casual atmosphere. There's also a full bar. Everyone is expected to order something, even if it's just a soda: we want to support the business and make sure we're welcome back! I'm limiting RSVPs to one table tonight; I'm in the mood to actually play and not just host. :-) The dining area is self-seating. Please walk in and look for the board game boxes and the Bowie Board Game Group table sign.

Agricola
Agricola
We will be playing **Agricola** with up to 8 players. All experience levels welcome. Expect the game teach to start promptly within the first 10 minutes. Agricola is a worker placement game in which you're a farmer living in a wooden shack with your spouse and little else. At first, on a turn, your family gets to take only two actions, one for you and one for your spouse: plowing fields, collecting materials, building fences, etc. Each round a new action card is flipped over, offering one more possible action. You can expand your house to make room for more family members. Find [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWuUuxbMDB0&pp=ygUUaG93IHRvIHBsYXkgYWdyaWNvbGE%3D) a how to play video on youtube. Find [here](https://www.lookout-spiele.de/upload/en_agricolare.html_Rules_Agricola-RE_EN.pdf) the rulebook. Note: Please remember to update your RSVP if you can not attend the event. **The earlier you update your RSVP the better** so that players on the waitlist can attend. No-shows may make it harder to attend future meetups. Also, all library rules apply to this meetup event. Mainly that no food is allowed in the library. Covered drinks are allowed.

Board games at The Forge
Board games at The Forge
The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can sometimes fill esrly. There is additional parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.
