Clay Nights are relaxed open-ended sessions for anyone who wants to spend time with clay without pressure or expectations. You’ll explore handbuilding at your own rythm. There’s no set project to follow. You’re free to create one or two handbuilt pieces of your choice. I’m always around to guide and answer your questions, but the space is yours to explore. Usamos métodos sencillos pero poco convencionales para soltarnos, abrirnos y reconectarnos con lo auténtico que llevamos dentro. Ever want to try ceramics or build on your skills? Then this would be the perfect opportunity. The main technique used during the session is hand-building giving you the option to make so many different things for yourself, friends or family - bowls, plates, sushi dishes, plants pots and much more. Beginners will be guided through the process of making things using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing, under-glazing and glazing. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcome to use my wheel (to be reserved in advance). Those of you who would like to learn about glazing would need to book 2 workshops. The workshops are run in English but I do speak Catalan and Spanish. They also provide a great opportunity for non-native speakers to chat and learn. They last 2.5 hours and basic materials are provided. We organise a watercolour workshop for beginners; The teacher is an advanced graphic designer and painter Tiana Diakova, whose works you can check on Instagram: @diakova_art. The maximum amount of people is 10 so the teacher will be able to guide every person. The workshop is adapted to a beginner's level (every time people who never painted before are surprised with the result they achieve!) But also the process will be interesting for those who draw or paint already.
