🌿 Restore & Reflect: A Trailside Sound Journey ✨
**🪷 COST:** This event has a fee. You must register
with this link to attend- [Register Here!](https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/restore-and-reflect-a-trailside-sound-journey)
**🌿 Description:**
🎶 “Conservation is a state of harmony between men and land.” 🌲
– Aldo Leopold
🌱 In early spring, Leopold's Preserve is awakening with color, fragrance, and birdsong. Flowers emerge, trees are budding in vibrant green, and the trails feel welcoming. Energy is rising. Life is visibly returning.
💖 We’ll begin with a **gentle forest therapy walk** through the preserve’s diverse habitats and scenic overlooks, allowing the fullness of the season to meet us. After arriving at a quiet gathering place, you’ll be guided through a Pleasure of Presence **meditation to ground and open your awareness** to the awakening around you.
🎶 Then, we’ll settle into a **deeply restorative sound bath** immersed in early spring’s soft renewal. The resonant tones of bowls and healing instruments will weave together with natures symphony — the hum of new life. The sound vibrations help clear stagnant energy, regulate the nervous system, and invite expansion. In spring’s abundant atmosphere, this experience often feels energizing yet deeply calming — like aligning your inner rhythm with the flourishing world around you.
🌿 We’ll conclude with a silent, mindful walk back, letting the resonance integrate as you take in the surrounding serenity.
✨ **Ideal if you’re ready to:**
• **Embrace** renewal and forward momentum
• **Align** with the vibrant energy of late spring
• **Experience** sound healing amplified by nature
• **Feel** grounded, open, and restored
**🥾 What we'll do:**
We will walk \~2 miles, depending on timing and the desires of the group. This is an out and back walk with minimal elevation gain or loss.

Ecstatic Dance
NOTE: You MUST sign up and pay via our website to reserve your spot (https://flyingbuddhastudio.com/#Events). Simply responding yes to attend via Meetup does not hold your spot. Thank you for your understanding!
Ecstatic dance is an exceptional wellness practice exploring free expression through movement in a substance-free, facilitated, and inclusive environment. In ecstatic dance, there are no set steps or structures, you move however you feel moved to move. The goal is to get out of our heads and get in touch with our bodies, emotions, and the collective. The dance is constructed as a wave where the music starts out slowly and gradually increases in pace and intensity before coming down to resting. This structure facilitates easing into movement, building to an ecstatic state, and gradually releasing. Everyone can choose how they want to express themselves long as they don’t interfere with others’ self expression. In ecstatic dance, we co-create a safe space where everyone is free to be their authentic selves. The result is mental clarity, emotional freedom, and physical embodiment.
The benefits of ecstatic dance include:
* Stress and tension relief
* Mindfulness and relaxation
* Somatic healing
* Self-expression
* Exercise and play
* Community and connection
No experience necessary! We will provide instructions and ease you into the practice. The event begins with an opening circle where we get to know each other and share intentions, followed by an hour and fifteen minute playlist, and a closing circle to share reflections. We will spend time before and after the dance connecting in community. During the dance there is no talking. This helps us to connect with our bodies and each other nonverbally. The result is often a trance-like and ecstatic experience.
6:45 Doors open
7:00 Opening circle
7:30 Dance

**Music:** A mix of new age, worldbeat, tribal, EDM, arranged in a dance wave, from slow to fast to slow. It is typically 50% non-lyrical.
**What to bring:** Water bottle, short sleeve, loose clothing, expect to get sweaty! Yoga mat (optional). No alcohol or food is provided and please don’t bring any.

Meet Tina McKevitt
Certified Equine & Canine Massage Therapist, Animal Reiki Practitioner, and
Owner of "Hoofs & Woofs Masseuse"
From a young age, Tina felt a deep connection with animals—whether it was her own pets, the horses she rode, or animals in the wild. Being around them has always brought her a sense of peace, and throughout her life, animals have healed her in so many ways. It felt only natural to want to give that same care back to them. As Tina watched many of her pets age, all she wanted was to help them feel more comfortable and supported. That desire is what inspired her to start Hoofs & Woofs Masseuse. She feels truly blessed to now be offering her services and to give back to the fur babies who give us so much every day. At Hoofs & Woofs Masseuse, Tina believes in promoting the health and well-being of your furry companions through specialized sports massage therapy, including equine massage therapy for horses and canine massage services for dogs. Her holistic approach not only focuses on relaxation and recovery but also incorporates elements like Animal Reiki to enhance overall wellness. She aims to reduce muscle tension, improve flexibility and range of motion, accelerate the healing of injuries, and provide stress relief for your beloved pets.
