**This is a paid event. You must register and have a ticket to attend.** đ [luma.com/together-toronto-jul-6-2026](https://luma.com/together-toronto-jul-6-2026)
**Together Toronto - the stories behind how companies actually get built here.**
The stories that actually shape how companies get built in this city rarely make it onto a stage. This one's different.
Together Toronto is TechTO's signature gathering for founders, operators, builders, and investors who want more than inspiration - they want the real playbook. Real founders. Honest conversations about what it took to launch, scale, and survive Toronto's tech scene.
Whether you're building your first company, scaling a team, or figuring out what's next - this is the event worth showing up for.
**You'll leave with:**
* Frameworks from founders who've been through it
* Connections with the people building what's next
* A clearer sense of how the best companies in Canada actually get made

CFI Toronto Hangout: Mondays
As I looked under CFIâs Mission, Vision, and Values, the phrase â**community**â stood out in the opening line. Then, I found it repeated seven more times, all within a short description.
Elsewhere, CFI informs us we run âopenâ and âfriendlyâ discussions in âsafe and hospitableâ environments for everyone. And 'Critical Thinking' is, you might say, the backbone for starting any discussion.
But while we all know what thinking is, how is **critical thinking** different? Especially in matters that are not quantitatively measurable?
As humans, thankfully, we are born curious â we probably wonât have learnt to crawl on four to experience our body and the world around us. We all are capable of being forever-curious â and therefore seeing through the evidence methodically. That is a good start for any talk no matter how complex it may seem. If itâs a human problem, we may not solve it, but surely can think through it critically. Thatâs a big, and hopeful, first step!

Weekly Meditation
***Welcome to Community Mindfulness Meditation (GCNC Meditates)!***
**Where and when:** We meet at the **George Chuvalo Neighbourhood Centre** in the Junction Triangle in Toronto every **Monday from 7 pm to 8 pm**. Chairs, limited cushions, and yoga mats are provided (bring your own if you have a favourite)
**What and who:** weekly meditation sessions for and by neighbours and community members. No experience and no registration are needed and **attendance is free or by donation ($5 suggested, cash only in person)**. Learn more about your facilitators, JulieMae (she/her) and Christina (she/her), at https://gcncmeditates.wixsite.com/community-meditation
**How (structure):** We begin by settling in and grounding ourselves in the space, with an optional check-in to share how we are feeling, followed by a 25-minute guided meditation practice. After the period of formal practice, there is a period of optional sharing once again, where practitioners can share insights, reflections, challenges, questions, ponderings, and joys. We conclude our gathering with a dedication of the good generated from our practice to specific individuals or groups of individuals. We may also set an intention for the week ahead and share thatâagain, always optionally. We offer these practices in a space that is inclusive of all, while recognizing that mindfulness meditation is not a one-size-fits-all approach; we therefore encourage folks to follow their inner guidance whenever needed and to ask questions and for support or guidance whenever necessary. Both facilitators are trained in trauma-informed mindfulness instruction and keep that at heart in their guidance, recognizing that we all show up with different life experiences. We facilitate these sessions with the support and guidance of our own teachers, practising and learning with them to benefit our community.
**Questions:** You can contact us here on meetup, via our site, or via e-mail at gcncmeditates@gmail.com. We so look forward to meeting and practising with you, for the benefit of all.

Government Grants for Small Businesses and Real Estate Investors!
Welcome to **Government Grants for Small Business and Real Estate Investors**.
Join us on **Wednesday, July 8, 2026** for an informative session designed for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and real estate professionals who want to better understand available government grant opportunities.
This paid event is **$10 per attendee** and will showcase **14 different grant programs** that may help support business growth, expansion, innovation, hiring, exporting, and investment-related activities.
During the session, our expert will walk attendees through the different grant opportunities, explain how the application process generally works, and provide practical guidance on how to approach grant funding strategically. Whether you are starting a new venture, expanding an existing business, or exploring opportunities as a real estate professional, this event is designed to help you understand what may be available and how to prepare.
It is important to note that many government grants are **not loans** and generally do not need to be repaid when properly approved and used according to program requirements. These programs are often created to support small businesses, encourage economic growth, promote innovation, and help companies expand into new markets. By attending, you will learn about funding opportunities that may help you grow without taking on traditional debt.
Each attendee will also receive a comprehensive booklet containing the information presented during the session. This booklet is intended to serve as a practical reference tool after the event. Attendees may also receive access to sample grant application materials and supporting resources that can be used as a guide when preparing future applications.

Christ The Healer, Columbus, Ohio
From the moment sin entered the world, death began. Adam and Eve were not stricken dead immediately, but the process by which none of us lives forever in health and wholeness in these earthly bodies started its inexorable march to the inevitable endâdeath. The Bible makes it clear that by one manâs sin, death came to all mankind, but that by the obedience of One Perfect Man, Jesus, many are made righteous (Romans 5:19).
F.F. Bosworth recognized this truth; he also would have people consider that the God Who provided for our greatest needâsalvation from eternal deathâwould also provide healing for the lesser, but still great needs, of health and healing from sickness, disease, and the consequences of sin that we encounter before we die.
Join us as we examine the case for biblical healing in the book first published in 1924, ***Christ The Healer*. We meet at True Food Kitchen, Easton Town Center on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 6:30 pm.**

In Person Event: The Secrets to Mental Health
Mental Health, how do you understand it? How can you improve it?
How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself.
Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went?
Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you arenât aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence?
Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. As soon as you learn what is at the root of these unwanted conditions, youâll see it is something you can DO something about. You will not be labeled or categorized at this MeetUp.
This group is hosted by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
