Tea/Coffe, Chords & Collaboration: A Living Room Gathering
Tea/Coffe, Chords & Collaboration: A Living Room Gathering
Hi, My living room will be open this **Sunday at 14:00** for a small, casual get-together. The idea is just to meet some fellow music-makers. No agendas, no prepared performances — just a chance to have a drink, chat and maybe play a few things together if we feel like it. **The Setup** * I’ll have some coffee, tea, water and small snacks. * There will be an e-piano, classical guitars, and an electric guitar with a basic amp here if anyone wants to use them. * Feel free to bring your own instrument if it’s easy to carry, but don’t feel like you have to. **The Details** * **Small Group:** Just **6 people** max so we can fit in fine. * **RSVP:** Please let me know by **Saturday at 19:00** if you can make it. * **Location:** I’ll message the address to the people joining me once the RSVPs close, but you can see where it is approximately on the map. * If it's difficult to get to that place, I could pick up from somewhere nearby before the start of the event. Looking forward!
February book selection: Kindred by Octavia Butler
February book selection: Kindred by Octavia Butler
When American author Octavia Butler died in 2006, she was only 58. Even at her premature death, she was renowned as a science fiction and speculative fiction author, winning both Hugo and Nebula awards and the MacArthur fellowship (aka the MacArthur Genius Grant). Published in 1979, "Kindred" remains her most well-known and best-selling work. A story based on time travel and modeled on slave narratives, "Kindred" explores the dynamics and dilemmas of American antebellum slavery from the sensibility of a late 20th-century Black woman who is aware of its legacy in contemporary American society. *Goodreads summary* Dana, a modern Black woman, is celebrating her 26th birthday with her new husband when she is snatched abruptly from her home in California and transported to the antebellum South. Rufus, the white son of a plantation owner, is drowning, and Dana has been summoned to save him. Dana is drawn back repeatedly through time to the slave quarters, and each time the stay grows longer, more arduous, and more dangerous until it is uncertain whether or not Dana’s life will end, long before it has a chance to begin.

Whether you’re a passionate cook or just curious to learn, this is the perfect opportunity to **discover new flavors, share your culinary traditions, and make new friends** from around the world.

CFL 34 Kleinbettingen to Petange (ca 16km) - NO LOOP
Dear All, Another weekend full of "Schienenersatzverkehr". For the non-German speakers, I can teach you how to pronounce the word. Anyway, we can still do a CFL trail. But we will change the scenery and go to a different corner of Luxembourg. This one goes from Kleinbettingen to Petange. It looks quite easy. It's just a bit longer than our last trails. I will look for a suitable place for our "obligatory" lunchbreak. Starting point: Kleinbettingen Train Station Destination: Petange Train Station Public transport: L50 from Luxembourg Gare Routière at 10:30 to Kleinbettingen. We leave at the last station of that bus. We will frequent trains back from Petange to Luxembourg. Car: there is parking at both train stations. BUT the bus between Petange and Kleinbettingen is every 2h. I suggest coordinating between each other and organising some carpooling. Any questions? Hope to see you in large numbers on Sunday Jörg Disclaimer: The hike is at your own risk. Know your limits. Come prepared (water, food, shoes...). Don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit - Barret Blake
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** *Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit: From Intent to Implementation* Spec-driven development flips the traditional workflow on its head: instead of code being the source of truth, the specification becomes the backbone of design, collaboration, and delivery. In this session, we’ll explore how GitHub Spec-Kit enables teams to treat specifications as first-class artifacts—living documents that drive architecture, implementation, and verification. You’ll learn how Spec-Kit helps teams clearly express intent using structured, version-controlled specs that live alongside code. We’ll walk through a practical workflow that starts with defining system behavior and constraints, then progressively refines those specs into testable, automatable outcomes. Along the way, we’ll show how specs can reduce ambiguity, improve cross-functional collaboration, and make design decisions explicit before a single line of production code is written. This talk will cover: --What spec-driven development is (and what it isn’t) --How GitHub Spec-Kit fits into modern developer workflows --Using specs to align product, engineering, and AI-assisted development --Real-world examples of turning specs into implementations with confidence Whether you’re building greenfield systems, integrating AI into your stack, or trying to reduce costly rework, spec-driven development offers a scalable way to move faster without sacrificing clarity. Attendees will leave with concrete patterns and a clear mental model for adopting GitHub Spec-Kit in their own projects. **YouTube Link** TBA
