Should I still come to the class?** We try to keep the classes as balanced as possible, so if we notice we are getting too many leaders/followers we move people around to waitlist. Sadly not everyone who signed up attends the class, so you can always still show up and see if there is a shortage of leaders/followers. **Want to increase your odds to get a spot for the class?** Then we highly suggest to come with a partner (leader+follower), as we always give them priority. **Why am I in the waiting list I was earlier/first?** There is two reasons, either you have attended the class before or, more likely, you didn't show up to a class you signed up for before. This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
