Du wirst in diesem lockeren Kunstgeschichte Kurs direkt vor den Originalen Meisterwerken im Kunsthistorischen Museum Wien einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Epochen der Kunstgeschichte von der Kunst des Mittelalters bis ins 18. Jahrhundert bekommen und wirst fortan Kunst in allen Ausstellungen anders sehen und verstehen und Zusammenhänge besser erkennen können. Jede Woche wenden wir uns einer Epoche zu und einem der wichtigsten Werke von einem der bedeutendsten Künstler im Kunsthistorischen Museum. Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich, der Kurs ist aber auch für Fortgeschrittene gut besuchbar. Alles wird in lockerem Beisammensein vor den Bildern stattfinden, anschließend stehen das wunderschöne Café in der Kuppelhalle im Museum und die vielen netten Lokale in nächster Nähe für weiteres Beisammensein zur Verfügung und natürlich kann man auch einfach noch weiter alleine oder mit alten und den neuen Bekannten sich selbständig im Museum noch mehr anschauen. Hi everyone, On **Sunday, April 12**, 2026, Christian and I are planning a spring hike from Seebenstein to Grimmenstein. This hike is all about walking, wide views, and enjoying the landscape together with plenty of time for conversation, short breaks, and simply being outdoors. **Highlights** * 🏰 **Seebenstein Castle & Museums-Burg Grimmenstein** — history and views combined * ⛰️ **Türkensturz rock formation** with one of the best viewpoints in the area * 🌿 **Varied landscape** with forest paths, open sections, and gentle climbs * 🌄 **Wide views** across the region at several points along the route **Meeting Point & Travel** 📍 **Meeting point:** Praterstern station at **08:15 a.m.**, near the ticket machines We will take the 08:42 a.m. train to Wr. Neustadt and change there to a local train. Expected arrival time in Seebenstein is 09:59 a.m. Trains back from Petersbaumgarten and Edlitz-Grimmenstein run every hour **Hike Options** We offer **two participation options**, depending on your preference and fitness level. Both groups will start together in Seebenstein and walk the same route up to Petersbaumgarten. Join me for a photo walk through Prater :) We will gather shortly before sunset (sunset time is 19.35) at the front gates of the amusement park. After a short introduction we will go for a photowalk among the rides. At the end of the walk everyone is welcome to join for a warm drink at a nearby cafe. The event is free of charge but will be limited to max 6 people as it is meant as an opportunity to connect, and the park is the perfect location for losing parts of a group. The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. Join us for a tour of Brothers Drake Meadery in Grandview, hosted by the owner Oron Benary. He will explain the mead-making process and offer us generous samples of their fine meads. Mead is basically wine that is made from honey instead of grapes. There are many different flavors that range from dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, to sweet. They are best known for their Apple Pie Mead. Oron has offered us a special price of 5.00 each person for the tour and tasting, which is normally 25.00 per person. I've taken the tour several times, and it's always enlightening and fun. Rebecca will bring a tea that will pair well with the mead for a tea tasting afterwards. Park anywhere around the building.
