We're gonna have another Game Creators Hangout! This one is going to be a special one - we're gonna hang out at the ELECTRIC SOCIAL Arcade Bar. We'll have a lot of space, tasty drinks and lots of modern arcades to play. For us they'll do a special deal where you'll get 100 game credits and a drink for 20€. The Hangout is a place where those who create games or are interested in it meet up and talk about whatever they like. Its a place for the community, but also to connect people from different communities. It does not matter whether you're a veteran game dev, just started school or just dabble in creating games in your free time - all of you are welcome here. Accessibility: There is a small step at the entrance. Seating is available inside as well as outside. This **coworking and networking** meetup is for neurodivergent people to get our tasks/projects/work done and to connect with other neurodivergent, whether for focus work or just finding someone who understands what you’re working on. **PLEASE READ THE EVENT DESCRIPTION BELOW:** So we can be self-accountable for our own comfort. **Location:** Werkräume inside Humboldt Forum https://maps.app.goo.gl/Jw5totHbQadfsJsE8 The **exact area** of Werkräume where we cowork will be updated in the **pinned comment on the event page**, as it is a public space and we cannot reserve a specific spot. **How to find Werkräume:** * **If you are starting from the Front Desk:** Find the large escalator behind the front desk. Go up to the 1st floor (one level above ground floor). * **If you are starting from the Humboldt Bistro:** go to the other building. Find the escalator and go up to the 1st floor (one level above ground floor). * **Final Destination:** On the 1st floor, look for the Werkräume sign. **What to expect:** * We usually use **[Pomodoro method](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique).** **When you are late** and the session has started, just take a seat and start working until break time. * However, **feel free to work with how you are most comfortable with.** What's important is, we all become accountability buddies. ✨ **Notes:** 1. **This a public place so bring your sensory management tools (earphone, stim toys, etc).** We can´t control the environment if there are other groups having their activities. 2. **The Werkräume can't be reserved** so we will all help each other by occupying the seats. 3. The place has wifi, locker and toilet. 4. The space has power plugs, but only in specific areas. Please ensure your devices are charged before coming. 5. **Food & drink:** there is a Bistro but pricey. Feel free to bring your own. **IMPORTANT:** No eating in the Werkräume. Use the public visitor seating instead. 6. **Bring a coin for the locker.** Security may ask you to store bags in the lockers outside the Werkräume. 7. **PLEASE EDIT YOUR RSVP if you can't come.** This helps us better manage the coworking session. Hang out with us in an Irish pub whilst we play a few rounds of rummy :) **If you’re not familiar with the basic principle of the game, we will teach you, so no need to worry.** Since there exist several versions of Rummy, here is how we will play: ♣️Everybody will get 10 cards and you will have to make rows of 3, 3 and 4 cards to win. ♣️ We play with jokers, but amongst these rows has to be one **natural sequence**, meaning a sequence made without a joker. The other two rows can be sequences or pairs using jokers, but must have at least 3 cards. ♣️Only once you have your three rows assembled, you lay down your hand openly to win the round. This meetup is really small, so please let us know in time if you can’t make it after all so we can adjust/give your spot to someone on the waitlist. If you have any questions, let me know! Hey everyone! I’m organising a co-working + socialising session for all of us who like to work on something (e.g. our own project, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. 🙂 To ensure that we have both **socialising** AND **working**, we will be using the so called “Pomodoro” technique: **50min of deep work** (silent), followed by **10min of break** to socialise.
