OpenSearch プロジェクト最新情報 2.ユーザーセッション① : 弥生株式会社 Kazuma Imaizumiさん * タイトル : OpenSearch Warm Tier設計の実践 - UltraWarm経験から学ぶIndex/Shard最適化 * 概要 : OpenSearchでのUltraWarm導入経験をもとに、OSS環境でも活用できるWarm Tier設計の実践的ノウハウを共有します。ISM（Index State Management）、Index、Shardの基本概念から、シャードサイズ設計のベストプラクティスと実運用での最適化、UltraWarmとWarm Tierで共通する設計考慮事項まで、具体的な設定例とともに解説します。実運用データ（週1TB、1,000以上のシャード、1シャード約100GB）での経験をもとに、理想と現実のギャップを踏まえた時系列データの効率的な管理とコスト最適化を目指す技術者向けの内容です。 3.ユーザーセッション② : Serverless Operations, Inc. Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program: Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven. Dale is an energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and very entertaining speaker and this will be another wonderful program by Dale. Hope to see you there! Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Our group, KIND MEALS, will be picking up the tab for pizzas, at MIKEY'S LATE NIGHT SLICE, on Sunday, February 8th from 12-2pm. We will be trying out MIKEY'S Vegan Fake-ass BBQ Chick'n pizza and Vegan Fake-ass Pepperoni pizza, as well as some other special vegan pizzas that are served there. All the vegan pizzas are covered with Selfish Cow vegan cheese. The pizza is free, drinks on your own.
