Braving the Cold: RC Harris to Woodbine
Like walking in the snow? Let’s bundle up and brave the cold with a winter stroll at RC Harris Water Park first, then make our way to Woodbine Beach. After that, depending on how hungry (and frozen) we are, we can warm up at one of the cozy cafés or restaurants along Queen Street. Hopefully, we’ll end the day feeling full, happy, and proud of ourselves for embracing winter ❄️😊
What to wear & bring: Dress in warm layers, a cozy winter jacket, hat, gloves, and a scarf—bonus points for thermal socks! Waterproof boots with good grip are a must. Bring a small backpack with water, lip balm, tissues, and maybe a thermos with something hot to sip along the way

FUNdamentals of Scottish Country Dancing
The Northern Virginia dancers invite you to join us on Thursday evenings from January 15 through February 26 to learn some of the basics of Scottish country dancing, which is the social dancing of Scotland. You don't need a partner and you don't need to be Scottish! Wear comfortable clothes and soft-soled shoes. Please plan to arrive by 7:15 to sign in and get your shoes on.
Consider coming to our Welcome Back evening on January 8 when we'll have an evening of easy social dancing.
Note that if the Arlington County Public Schools are closed because of weather, our venue is also closed.
We look forward to dancing with you.
