Please note the following: 1. This is a concrete surface, so factor that into your choice of footwear. 2. In the case of bad weather, the bandstand itself is roofed, so there should be no problem with rain etc, but numbers will be much more limited, with no over-spill spaces. 3. Please feel free to bring snacks etc., however, please bring something to bring your rubbish home in, as bins in that area of Phoenix Park are a little sparse. 4. The Phoenix Park Tearooms are an excellent facility and serve wonderful coffee, tea, treats. Please consider them as an option for your pre-dancing turbo boost. It does no harm to get on well with our neighbours. There are toilets there too, but they are normally quite busy. 5. Please don't come if feeling unwell. 6. This event is free of charge.

Centro Cultural Capoeira Água de Beber (CECAB) – Capoeira Água de Beber Cultural Centre – is a non-profit organization, founded officially in January 2002. Its pivot activity is Capoeira (classes, rodas, workshops, public presentations, cultural events, performances), however it aggregates other cultural manifestations as: samba de roda, maculelê, frevo, ciranda, dança do coco, dança afro, puxada de rede, craftworks workshops of making and playing music instruments, video projections, movies, lectures about relevant cultural topics and matters related to enforcement of citizenship. All the activities realized through CECAB are designated to execution of social responsibility projects, further on the sportive, cultural and artistic activities through the realization of the shows, presentations and events related to Capoeira and Brazilian culture.

This event is free though donations (cash or Revolut) are very much welcome as I renew my Meetup Organiser subscription annually in the Summer and I prefer to cover this cost of $215 (they invoice us in dollars) through optional donations in the Summer instead of having a set fee per event. We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “Create a better world” by helping serve those in need. NOTE: We’re switching it up this time and going with a DINNER shift on Mon, 7/6. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for DINNER from 4:30 to 6:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 4:20pm and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
