The first experience of Sahaja Yoga meditation is called Self Realisation. With Sahaja Yoga Meditation we generally sit on chairs to achieve Yoga, effortlessly & spontaneously. As such no Asanas (exercises) are required, no mat or special clothing
## What is Meditation?
Meditation is a state of mental silence or rest, where our attention is aware, but not engrossed in thinking. It is known as ‘thoughtless awareness’. It is achieved when the indwelling Kundalini energy awakens and carries the individual attention beyond the level of the 6th chakra, into the seventh chakra, known as Sahasrara.
## Yoga!
It is here we achieve Yoga! As the mind finds rest and silence, we become able to feel our inner Self (Spirit). This can be tangibly felt, it actually manifests, as a cool wind, breath or breeze, often experienced on the palms of the hands or at the top (crown) of the head. It is a spontaneous, effortless natural happening.
Each week many people experience this actualisation at one of the many free meditation classes on offer
## How to get into balance?
The secret of the Sahaja Yoga method resides within us, at the base of the spinal chord, in a triangular bone called the “sacrum bone”. Since our birth in our sacrum bone dwells an inner energy called in Sanskrit Kundalini; it is characterised as a feminine energy and once activated, this energy rises along our spine until it reaches the top of the head and finally connects with the universal energy. This union is called “yoga” in Sanskrit.
## Kundalini
As our indwelling Kundalini rises through the central channel, this benevolent feminine energy activates the chakras, removing all the impurities from them and nourishing the entire inner system. It is through this happening that we are elevated into ‘thoughtless awareness’, the mental silence of true meditation

Gong Bath: Candlelit Deep Rest, Restorative and Energising
You’re warmly invited to a **candlelit Gong Bath** — a gentle, deeply relaxing sound session to help you **unwind, release stress, and reconnect with a sense of calm**.
You’ll lie down comfortably and rest in stillness for **45–60 minutes**, while you’re immersed in soothing vibrations from a beautiful range of instruments, including:
* **2 gongs** (30" Earth Gong + 36" Paiste Symphonic Gong)
* **Himalayan singing bowls**
* Shamanic drum, ocean drum, thunder drum
* Chimes and other soft percussion
**What to bring:**
* Warm, comfortable clothing
* A yoga mat + blanket (I have a few spares available first-come, first-served)
* A pillow if you’d like extra comfort
**A few gentle notes (so everyone can fully relax):**
* The studio is a **quiet / non-speaking space** once we begin
* Phones off please
* If you need anything during the session, you can quietly let me know
* Everyday sounds (even snoring!) are welcome — we let them be part of the experience

February Street Hypnosis group meetup
The next Street Hypnosis Group meetup will be Saturday 28th February
We meet at The Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre. We'll be on the 5th floor, in the 'seventy5th bar' (Blue zone). If you haven't been before or you need help finding us call this number 07742 542101.
Call that number when you arrive at the information desk on the ground floor, just in case we've moved to a different area of the building or outside.
Learn something, share something. Practice in safety and gain confidence. We cover all aspects of street, stage and party hypnosis. Have an idea of the suggestibility tests or something else you want to practice, as well as some Rapid Inductions. Also, think of a short 5 -10 minute 'routine' to use with people. All levels are welcome so don't be shy. We ask for a small fee of £5 on the day, this is purely to help pay our meetup fees.
We could go for a coffee or beer afterwards, and get some practice in public situations. It's all good for confidence building.
Our 'sister' group is the London Hypnosis Hub. That group is aimed more at general hypnosis and meets on the first Tuesday of every month. The Chelsea Nostalgia walk, 4 miles
This walk is not suitable for Gunners, Spurs or Hammers supporters.
Nick Jones is okay,
* We will start with Ebury Street, which has a long history and it's even mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Past residents of note include Ian Fleming, Lord Tennyson and Mozart.
* En route we will see the Peggy Porschen shop (pictured), a bespoke cake company. Further down the road we will see where Mozart lived when he composed his first symphony, aged only 9.
* We will then arrive at the Orange Square to see a succession of wonderful antique and interior design shops.
* We will then pass by the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the home of Chelsea Pensioners, founded by King Charles II . Members can always return to see their museum (free entry, recommended visit time 45 mins). For pub quiz-goers, Royal Hospital Chelsea is also the place where Margaret Thatcher was buried.
* Right next door is the National Army Museum (free entry, recommended visit time 2 hours). A further down en route are situated the Chelsea Physic Gardens (ticketed entry, recommended visit time 45 mins).
* We will then proceed via Cheney Walk (past residents of note include George Eliot, Mick Jagger and Keith Richard) and Kings Road to arrive at the Duke of York Square. This is where the famous Saatchy Gallery is located (free entry, recommended visit time 1 hour).
* We will then proceed via two of the most prestigious addresses in London, the Sloane Square and the Eton Square, to return back to Victoria station. This is where the walk ends. Optional drinks/ lunch at the end of the walk.

* The walk is free for members who have subscribed for an annual membership. For other members the fee is £5 cash/card on arrival to contribute towards the organiser's meetup fees and costs.

* All walks are free for the NHS staff (also welcome to bring a guest).

Gaslighting & Narcissistic Abuse Recognition BiWeekly Support Group with Heather
Welcome to Gaslighting Recognition & Recovery Group.
**This is a peer-to-peer support group dedicated to recovery from emotional abuse.** **\*\*FOR ESTABLISHED MEMBERS \*\***
Imagine this scenario: Suppose your partner, parent or friend made a little joke at your expense, and it hurt your feelings. Perhaps you thought to yourself “I’ll let it slide because they probably didn’t mean it. Or maybe I just misunderstood. It’s just not worth the consequence of having this argument.” But as days and weeks pass, the buried emotions resurface, demanding to be dealt with. So you decide to express your feelings to this person, only to hear this response:
*"Wow, you're so sensitive that I can't even joke with you anymore. I didn't mean it like that, but of course you need to make me look like a jerk. Why are you bringing this up NOW? I've moved on, but I guess you just can't let go of the past. I don't understand why you get offended so easily. You said you loved my sense of humor, but I guess my jokes just aren’t funny anymore. I mean, I could sensor myself for you, but how sad it is to be silenced and forbidden from being myself? You must not love me for who I am. You have sloppy habits and mental health issues, but I love you anyway. So why can't you just accept me for who I am? Maybe I should just go away. If you want me to go away, just tell me, and I will. Free yourself and finally be rid of me.”*
This is a DARVO, and it's also gaslighting. It is word salad nonsense designed to leave you feeling confused, tongue tied and self-blaming. Although subtle and difficult to detect, gaslighting can present this way. Perpetrators are skilled in evading detection, and nearly impossible to identify without external support.
Gaslighting isn’t “just a pop psychology term.” It’s a very real form of emotional manipulation that often flies under the radar because we’ve been conditioned to see it as normal. This is especially true if we grew up amidst toxic family dynamics. We’ve learned to doubt ourselves before questioning someone else’s behavior. We say, *“Maybe I’m just too sensitive.”* Or *“Maybe I’m overreacting.”* And that’s exactly how gaslighting works — it teaches us to question our intuition, doubt our own emotions, silence and shrink ourselves, making us more digestible for the other person.
But no — you are not “too sensitive.” You are not “being defensive" or "unable to handle constructive criticism.” You are having a normal human response to emotional abuse. Gaslighting thrives in the disguise of normalcy, often framed as “care and concern” or “just trying to help”. And the first step in dismantling it is naming it for what it is: emotionally abusive. It’s not your fault, not imagined, and definitely not normal.
This group is a safe space dedicated to supporting one another as we confront the faulty, gaslit self-concepts imposed upon us by others. Together, we can practice self-compassion, reclaim our voices and empower ourselves. This group offers support for every stage of recovery.
This group runs 6PM EST- 7:30PM EST (5PM-6:30PM CST, 3PM-4:30PM PST AND 11PM-12:30AM BST) **every other Saturday**
I did schedule this group with the assumption that those attending are well-versed in gaslighting but would still like to provide a brief definition for anyone who may be uncertain;
*Gaslighting is an intentional, subtle, psychological manipulation tactic where the perpetrator plants seeds of doubt in the victim's mind. This leads the victim to question their perceptions, memories, feelings, abilities, and even their mental health. The perpetrator is often a person with high narcissistic **and*** *sociopathic traits. It’s designed to evade detection and is therefore one of the most insidious tools in the pathological narcissist's arsenal.*

Hi, I'm Daisy. I work with people who say everything is 'fine' but deep down, know that they're struggling. I help them to reconnect with themselves, build confidence and rediscover their joy, to start living a life they actually LOVE.
I am a qualified Hypnotherapist, registered with the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).
I have a passion for seeing others thrive and experience the magic of life. Having struggled with stress, anxiety and limiting beliefs, I understand the transformational power of making time to connect with yourself and your community; to enable you to live the life you deserve.
