Saturday AM Hilly Run
Saturday AM Hilly Run
Saturday morning loops up and around Bukit Timah hill. Part of our training block for Trans QJM Gunung Pulai – all runners welcome. = = = = = 3 laps of 5km with 330m elevation per lap. Water available at 2km point. Breakfast at Beauty World Plaza after the run. = = = = = This event is posted on multiple platforms. Our road runs are typically attended by 8-12 runners. Please be aware that trail running carries certain inherent risks. You are responsible for your own safety. THE BASICS ‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾ ROUTE: 3 x Bukit Timah MEETING POINT: Beauty World MRT exit A (street level) END: Beauty World Plaza DISTANCE: 15 km (or any increment of 5 km) SCHEDULE (Saturday AM) ‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾ 0700: Meet 0705: Stretch/ Warm-up 0715: Briefing + Start run LATER: Breakfast If you are running late, please contact us before 0700. Your host will share the route with you. You can open this map in your phone's web browser and try to catch up with us. We hope for your understanding that we may not be able to answer messages received after 0730. FAQs ‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾ Q: What is the expected pace? A: The group naturally separates into a faster pack and a more relaxed pack. The front group runs at approximately 6:30 min/km, while the rear group is flexible, running at about 7:30 min/km or at a pace comfortable for everyone in it. The rear group will always ensure no one is left behind. Q: Is this run suitable for beginners to trail running? A: Yes, newcomers to trails are welcome, as long as you are confident you can run the full advertised distance without needing to stop to walk. Please be aware that trail running has a higher risk of trips and falls, so we encourage you to run carefully. Q: What kind of terrain can I expect? A: Our trail runs feature mixed terrain, which can include soil, grass, rocks, tree roots, and mud (especially during the rainy season). Q: Are trail running shoes required? A: Trail running shoes are highly recommended for better grip and stability on uneven surfaces. Q: What should I bring with me? A: Please wear comfortable running attire suitable for Singapore's humid climate. We also recommend bringing a payment method (for our optional group breakfast) and your phone. Q: Is there a bag drop? A: No, there is no bag drop service. These are point-to-point runs (we run from A to B and do not return to the start), so please only bring what you are comfortable running with. Q: How much water and nutrition should I bring? A: Please refer to the specific event description for information on water points for that route. We advise bringing as much water and nutrition as you personally feel you will need for the distance. Q: What happens if it rains? A: This is a rain-or-shine event. In the case of heavy rain, we may delay the start by up to 10 minutes to see if the weather improves. Please be extra cautious as trails can become very slippery when wet. Q: Are there toilets available? A: We always start near an MRT station, which will have toilets. The availability of toilets along the route varies; this information will be shared during the pre-run briefing. Q: Is breakfast a group activity? A: Yes, all runners are welcome to join for breakfast at a nearby eatery after the run. It's a great way to refuel and socialise, but it's completely optional. Q: How do we get back from the end point? A: We always plan our routes to end near an MRT station or a major bus interchange, ensuring you have a convenient way to get home.

🌿 Adventure Unlimited Live Share Care Walk – Pack2Treat Support Event 🌿 Join us for a meaningful morning of connection, care, and gentle movement in support of Pack2Treat. We begin our Live Share Care Walk from **Katong Park MRT (Exit 1)**, stepping out into the soft coastal air where the east coast breeze meets early morning light. The route carries us through a refreshing blend of sea-side calm, park connectors, and river-side paths, where city noise slowly fades into rustling trees, open skies, and the rhythm of shared footsteps. [Pls note TEL late opening at 8.30am.] This is not just a walk — it is a journey through Singapore’s everyday beauty, from coastal neighbourhoods into the heart of our river corridors, ending at Geylang Bahru Market. At Geylang Bahru, we come together for a lunch distribution for elderly residents, especially seniors living alone. This is the heart of our purpose — to share warmth, dignity, and care through food and presence. After the walk, all participants are warmly invited to: \*Grab a simple brunch before spend time supporting older hawkers, provision shops, and mom-and-pop stores in the market These small businesses and elderly vendors are part of the same living fabric we are walking for — let’s continue that care with our choices and support. 🕛 Important reminder: Lunch for the elderly will be served by 12 noon sharp, so please enjoy a light brunch beforehand and return with energy and heart for the service. Let’s walk not just for health, but for community. For our seniors. For our hawkers. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. By the time we're done, you'll have a firm grasp of the problem and understand some helpful options for protecting your codebase from vibe coding mishaps getting YOLOed into prod. **YouTube Link** TBD
