In the early days of software, programmers handled nearly all aspects of product creation. Over time, specialized design roles formed around interaction, research, and experience, and today those roles are shifting once again. In this talk, I explore how design work is evolving as the use of code and generative AI tools become standard. **Julian Garcia** is a product designer and engineer based in New York.
