What Do I Actually Want?
What Do I Actually Want?
“I don’t know what I want.” If that thought sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t need a perfect answer to move forward. In this workshop, we’ll explore what *pulls you*—without the pressure of choosing a “right” path. Through simple exercises, you’ll: • Reflect on moments where you felt engaged or energized • Discover patterns in what you enjoy (and what you don’t) • Create a clear “more of / less of” list for your future By the end, you’ll have a better sense of direction—and a few ideas worth exploring. 🧭 Part of a 6-part series, but open to everyone (even if you missed the first one). Curiosity is enough. You don’t need clarity yet.
Shut Up & Write!™ Copenhagen
Shut Up & Write!™ Copenhagen
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, résumé, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (We’ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.

Everyone is welcome to talk, but if you prefer to just join and listen, that is perfect too. As the contacted cafĂŠs usually only give reservations to eating guests, it is very welcome if you order something to eat during our stay. This is however not mandatory. This event is in English. Escape the winter chill and immerse yourself in an evening of creativity, conversation, and coziness. Join us for a **Cocktails & Collage** a seasonal gathering that celebrates Danish *hygge* through drinks and imaginative art-making. Set in a contemporary art gallery turned into a creative studio for the night, you’ll begin with a delicious cocktail or a glass of wine and even alcohol-free option will be available. Once you test our cocktails you can settle into a candlelit workspace stocked with vintage magazines, colorful papers, fabrics, and other tactile treasures. Whether you come with friends or on your own, this cozy and creative evening will leave you inspired, relaxed, and ready for winter. The bar will keep open for those who want to explore more of our cocktail menu Note: The event is free but does not include the drinks

Moral & Ethical Philosophical Dilemmas! Living With Hard Choices. Get provoked!
Moral & Ethical Philosophical Dilemmas! Living With Hard Choices. Get provoked!
**“Moral & Ethical Dilemmas (!) — Living With Impossible Choices”** Responsibility, Conflict, Values, and the Tensions of Modern Life We live in a time where the hardest questions no longer have clear answers. Technology, politics, culture, and global crises constantly force us to choose between competing values—often with no option that feels fully right. What should guide us when every choice carries a moral cost? This isn’t a debate club or a moral lecture. It’s a space to think aloud, challenge assumptions, and confront uncomfortable questions together. *** **Topics we’ll touch on:** * Can good intentions still cause real harm? * Individual responsibility vs collective outcomes * Free speech vs protection from harm * Loyalty, fairness, and moral compromise * Is moral clarity possible—or are we doomed to permanent gray zones? * Do principles matter when consequences are severe? * And finally… how do we live with ourselves when there is no “clean” choice? Casual discussion. No philosophy background required—just honesty, openness, and a willingness to be challenged. Bring your views, your doubts, and your discomfort—and expect others to do the same. Share your thoughts. Get provoked. And see what survives serious reflection.

COMEDY SHOW IN ENGLISH: CRAZY EURASIAN
COMEDY SHOW IN ENGLISH: CRAZY EURASIAN
For the first time in COPENHAGEN on MAY 17, internationally touring comedian Dinara Kerey brings her hit solo show Crazy Eurasian - a sharp, hilarious, and brutally honest take on identity, dating, and growing up post-Soviet, Asian and Muslim (WHAT?!). Born in Kazakhstan and based in Berlin, Dinara has opened for top comedians across Europe, including Russell Peters, David Cross, Maz Jobrani, Tina Friml and Mario Adrion. Her comedy blends cultural confusion, family pressure, and the chaos of being “too Eastern for the West and too Western for the East.” ATTENTION: tickets can be purchased here - https://fienta.com/de/crazyeurasiancopenhagen

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for May is "Ink" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
