Une exposition sur Marilyn Monroe à la Cinémathèque Française : "Monroe est d'abord connue en tant que phénomène culturel, dont on se souvient à travers ses photographies davantage que ses films. Elle est plus rarement appréhendée comme une actrice qui incarne et compose des rôles à l'écran. L'un des enjeux de l'exposition est de remettre ses performances cinématographiques au centre et de proposer aux visiteurs de les regarder autrement. Car à ce jour, c'est comme si ses rôles étaient le simple reflet d'états émotionnels, éprouvés sur des tournages chaotiques, et plus proches de la névrose que de la mystérieuse profondeur psychologique des autres comédiens passés par l'Actors Studio.
