Participants alternate between being the **Listener** and the **Expresser**, spending 5 minutes in each role. * As the **Expresser**, explore thought-provoking prompts designed to deepen self-awareness and compassion. * As the **Listener**, practice listening with empathy and curiosity—without fixing, advising, or judging. We’ll also use **journaling and guided reflection** to improve communication clarity and end with a **group reflection circle** to share strategies for enhancing EQ together. **Details:** Beginner/Intermediate level social tennis session. Run by the Albert Park Tennis and Hockey Centre Cost: $22 per person (EFT payment) for 2 hours of tennis. Free for members. Please check into the hut prior to joining a court. This session is designed for all levels of players, for the opportunity to meet other players, improve their tennis skills, and have enjoy some friendly, competitive tennis matches. This is the perfect time to test your in-game skills without having to enter a proper competition. Tennis balls are provided. Please try and bring your own racquet if possible. **Rules:** * Team up with another player to form a doubles team. Doubles only games. * 2 teams (a group of 4 players), play a **best of 8 games**. * Each person serves twice * Deuce = one point only, ie. Sudden death point. * The receivers can choose which player on their team receives. * If the score is 4-4, both teams play a singular 'golden point' to determine the winner.. **Rotation:** * Winners remain on the same court. Losers move to the next court up * Court 1 onto Court 2 onto Court 3 etc..

There is no pre-requisite preparation necessary, nor a philosophical background; all that is required is a curious mind. These discussions are both a Socrates Cafe style discussion and lively metaphysical dojo, in the spirit of learning and friendly debate, so please feel free to challenge assumptions and be prepared have your own assumptions challenged! Find below some questions to consider, however these are free-ranging events and the below serve merely as a springboard towards a deeper discussion in waters unknown... Some points and questions to consider before the event: * What is intelligence? * What are the differences between human, animal and artificial intelligence? Which differences matter? * Is intelligence best thought of as a capacity, a process or or an outcome? * Are IQ tests useful? If so, useful for what? * Is intelligence distinguished from wisdom, creativity or rationality? Why? * Intelligence is biologically costly. Why do you think we evolved it at all? What problems does it solve? * Are humans intelligent because of individual brains or cumulative culture? * In what sense is AI intelligent or not? If it can do intelligent things, should we say its intelligent? * Is it just that intelligent people are rewarded in the market and society? Are there stupid people? How should they be treated? There is a 40 foot lit Christmas tree, over 150 lighted trees, decorated garden beds and an illuminated tunnel made up of glowing archways complete with a snow globe photo op. Plus new illuminations on the Columbus common stage. NEXT - we will walk down to 50 West Town St. 400 feet away. Town Street will be twinkling with lights and decorations. Follow the illuminated penguins and lights down the wander lights path from Columbus commons to the Seattle mile. Stop by the Lazarus building Galleria, for an elaborate holiday display. NEXT - we will walk down to the Scioto mile. .3 miles. 233 S. Civic Center Dr. The downtown riverfront will be decked out in an elevated glow, centered around the Scioto mile fountain, which will be illuminated by more than 40 sculptural lights and 75 wrapped trees, providing passersby with the ultimate winter photo backdrop.
