This Saturday I'm gonna do a very beautiful hike in Steinfort that I found on All Trails app and wanted to see if there are people that would like to join me :) Please pay attention: This is a hike for for people that can maintain an average speed of 6 km/h, so that we finish the 17.2 km in around 3 hours. So, please join me only if you know you can keep this pace! Other than that, it is an easy terrain with an elevation gain of 412 m. Public Transportation: We take bus 812 from Kirchberg, Gare routiere Luxexpo at 08:20 (direction Eischen Denn Mairie) and we get off at Steinfort, Gemeng. The bus is to arrive at 09:02 and so we can start the hike shortly after. This time, we're going to explore a forest I've seen many times from the balcony of a dear friend during his legendary house parties, and I've always wondered whether there's a good hiking trail. Today I looked that place up, and indeed, there's one: Bertrange Autopedestre. No idea whether it's a new AP or whether I just did not see it before, but let's check it out, hiking boots on the ground! 🥾🥾 I've added an experimental part, to get to an adequate distance. Hydration **breaks** and other stops as needed. If we maintain an average speed of about 20 km/hour and have a cumulative stop time of 90 minutes, we can finish the ride in 10 hours. **How to prepare** Do carbohydrate loading for 2 to 3 days before the event. **Getting home from ride finishing point.** There are trains from Mersch to Luxembourg Gare every 30 minutes. **What to bring** 1\. Your bike in tip top condition \(**all** bike types are welcome). But keep in mind that we aim to maintain an average speed of 20km/h. 2\. Energy snacks\. 3\. Lots of fluids to stay hydrated\. 4\.
