**Co-working for writers in Amager!** Join us for an hour of focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about getting your writing done and meeting other writers in the area. We meet in this lovely spacious cafĂ©, chilled out, usually not very busy at this time, with an on-site bakery of delicious pastries. Once everyone is here and settled, I will lead a quick introduction, and then set the timer for our quiet and focused writing session. After the hour is up feel free to chat / take off / keep writing if you're on a roll. We often talk about our successes and challenges as writers, and it can be a great way to learn from eachother. **A note about the format** We don’t host critiques or readings. These events are a safe space for writers of all skill levels and genres to work on their craft, so no one will read or critique your writing. Shut Up & Write!ℱ Copenhagen
Shut Up & Write!ℱ Copenhagen
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, rĂ©sumĂ©, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (We’ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.

.NET SkĂ„neâ€ïžĂ˜REDEV
Øredev turns 20 this year - and they’ve chosen to celebrate the milestone together with us! We’re excited to welcome you to Stretch Amplify in Malmö for a special evening packed with community, inspiration, and good vibes. Hanna from Øredev will join us, and we’ll also be giving away a conference ticket for the November event, along with a few extra surprises. The grills fire up from 17.00, and the program kicks off at 17.30 - come hungry and ready! We hope to see you there! **IMPORTANT**: If you have signed up to the event but can't make it for some reason please cancel your spot in good time before the event so the spot is free for someone else to attend. The places are limited so be sure to sign up! **Agenda:** **Your Dependency Is Not My Dependency - Defending the browser supply chain** (Tore Nestenius, TN Data) You shipped a clean build. Your tests passed. Then a third-party script your page loads got compromised. Now your users are the breach. Modern browser pages execute code from sources you don't build, don't host, and sometimes don't even know about. While we spent years shifting security left, attackers shifted right, into the package ecosystem, the CDN, the runtime. This talk shows how client-side supply chain attacks actually work and what you can do about them using tools already built into the browser: CSP reporting, Subresource Integrity, and runtime telemetry. You'll leave knowing what your page is really running, and what to do about it on Monday morning. **Event-Driven Specs for AI Assisted Development** (Per Ökvist, Forefront) *From discovery to delivery with event‑driven specs as visual contracts* This session shows how event‑driven specifications turn discovery artifacts into executable, testable contracts. By modelling behaviour as events and slices, teams create a shared visual language that flows seamlessly from whiteboard sessions to production code. The same events discovered during modelling become specifications that drive AI‑assisted code generation. The result is a faster, more aligned workflow: clear intent, fewer translation gaps, and a path where what you model is what you build. **About the speakers:** [Tore Nestenius](https://www.linkedin.com/in/torenestenius) Tore is a Microsoft \.NET MVP\, an Azure\-certified developer\, and an expert in areas like CQRS and event\-sourcing\, as well as web security and IdentityServer\. Geopolitics, Summer 2026 Edition! A World in Flux! Global Order! Casual Debate..
Geopolitics, Summer 2026 Edition! A World in Flux! Global Order! Casual Debate..
**“Geopolitics (!) — Summer 2026 and a World in Flux”** Power, Conflict, Alliances, and the Shape of the Global Order The world feels less stable than it did just a few years ago. Wars linger or expand, alliances are tested, and long-standing assumptions about security, globalization, and leadership are breaking down. Summer 2026 doesn’t mark a pause—it marks a moment of tension, transition, and uncertainty. This isn’t a news recap or a prediction exercise. It’s a philosophical and strategic conversation about where the world stands—and what forces are quietly reshaping it. *** **Topics we’ll touch on:** * Are we moving toward a multipolar world—or a more chaotic one? * Ongoing wars, frozen conflicts, and the risk of escalation * The role of great powers vs regional players * Europe’s position between security, values, and dependence * Energy, resources, and the geopolitics of scarcity * Is international law weakening—or merely adapting? * And finally
are we entering a more dangerous era, or just a more honest one? Casual discussion. No background in international relations required—just curiosity and a willingness to look beyond daily headlines. Whether you feel worried, cynical, cautiously hopeful, or unsure—you’re not alone. Let’s take a step back from the noise—and think seriously about the world we’re living in.

Let's meet and talk books
Let's meet and talk books
Hi everyone! Let's gather and share our reading. As usual, we will meet at the fourth floor of the Central Library as it has good facilities for book clubs and it is also free to use. No extra cafe money to spend. Idea is to meet and connect over books. Each participant present 1-2 books they would like to recommend or just talk about, and then we'll see where conversation leads us. Again, there is no limitation to genre or type of book you are reading. The point is that we are free to read whatever we want and then share those reading experiences, so remember to be respectful to each other. I hope to see as many of you as possible. :)

Smart Search + AI: An Outcome-Driven Journey from IDP to a Suite of AI
Over a billion documents processed. Millions of Veterans impacted. Hundreds of thousands of employee hours saved. Faster decisions. Greater accuracy. More benefits in the hands of our disabled Veterans. We created Smart Search, the world’s largest consumer of Amazon Textract, right when GenAI began reshaping what’s possible. Since then, we’ve built a suite of AI‑driven solutions that transform this data into real, measurable outcomes—accelerating benefits decisions for our Nation’s Veterans. Join us for a focused conversation on how an outcome‑driven approach to AI is helping us boost accuracy, streamline workflows, and deliver faster results for those who have served. This is a follow up to the AWS re:Invent 2023 "Intelligent Document Processing with Gen AI for Public Sector" presentation. Stalker
Stalker
Based on the novel Roadside Picnic, it is NO picnic, but rather one of the masterpieces of world cinema. Andrei Tarkovsky's 1979 Soviet sci-fi classic, recounts the expedition of a writer and professor led by a mysterious guide called "The Stalker." to a futuristic wasteland called "The Zone." Dripping with existential dread, it continually presents strange occurrences that will have us debating the meaning of what we've just viewed right through the ending. *Stalker* (1979) can be streamed for free on HBOMax, the Criterion Channel or Kanopy. It's also available for rent on Amazon Prime and AppleTV. The Columbus Library has two copies on disc.

COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
Come assist Van Buren Shelter (https://ymcacolumbus.org/locations/vanburen) staff in serving dinners and cleaning up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Dinner for the women is 5-6 pm and for the families is 6:15-7:15 pm. There is ample free parking available in the shelter's lot. The recommended area to park is in green in the image above. There will be a new entrance for the time being. We are asking all volunteers to enter through the Donation Dock door, the orange mark on the image above. This door is located between the Single Adults and Family Shelter. You will see 2 large garage doors with a large green trash compactor in the center. Please head to the closest garage door to the building wall, with a ramp leading up. There, you will see a door with a sign stating instructions on how to enter the building. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will come and escort you into the building. If a staff member takes longer than 5 minutes, please call the front desk at 614-689-2020. This is a new process for us, and we do not want to keep you waiting! We appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary change. The shelter needs a volunteer count the day before the event so sign-up ends Monday at 4:50 PM. Afterwards some of us go to the Omnipresent Atheists Weekly Meetup in progress to have a bit to eat or drink (http://www.meetup.com/omnipresentatheists/). Volunteers must be 14 or older. Since we will be working around families, the YMCA does not permit volunteering by individuals with convictions for violent or sexual crimes. The YMCA reserves the right to run background checks on volunteers. For questions, comment on this page or contact: Andrew, awhit12@yahoo.com, (614)937-5802 (cell). Please let Andrew know if you volunteer anytime other than our COUNT events so that he can count your hours toward our service record.
