Impact Play — Bouldering Experience
Impact Play — Bouldering Experience
Impact Play is a new format within the Impact Nights community. Same ambitious people. Different setting. For this first edition, we gather for an evening of bouldering with founders, operators, and builders who value challenge, clarity, and real connection. Bouldering is about reading the route, testing ideas, adjusting quickly, and trying again. It mirrors how we build companies: focused, iterative, resilient. Our intention is to host Impact Play every third Monday of the month. A recurring moment to recharge, reset, and reconnect. Sustainable impact requires sustainable founders. Physical strength supports mental clarity. Movement sharpens focus. Community builds resilience. **This session is for those who:** ▪ Value resilience over ego ▪ Learn by doing ▪ Prefer meaningful conversations over small talk ▪ Believe energy is a strategic advantage We begin with a short welcome and warm-up, climb in small groups, and close with informal networking. Experience level does not matter. Curiosity and effort do. Impact Play is about maintaining the stamina required to build what truly matters. **Practical information** **▪ Entrance to the climbing gym:** 300 CZK ▪ Multisport card accepted, with extra payment after 60 minutes **▪ Climbing shoes rental:** 70 CZK **▪ Magnesium:** 20 CZK ▪ Bring sport clothes and a bottle of water
English Conversation (Bohnice, Praha 8)
English Conversation (Bohnice, Praha 8)
Hi all! My name is Cara, and I am a native English speaker from America living in Prague. This a meet up for t**hose learning English as a second language** and want the **opportunity to practice**. It will be a fun and relaxed setting where we will play games to **promote English conversations** or have some kind of activity. This club will meet **every other (two Mondays each month) Monday evening.** The goal is for each person to walk away having learned new English words and have more confidence when speaking in English. Please, bring some money if you want to purchase a coffee from Evento. **This event is sponsored by a church.** The church that sponsors this English meet up is **Církev bratrská, Bohnice** [https://www.cbbohnice.cz](https://www.cbbohnice.cz/) . We want to live lives that are reflective of Jesus. Like Jesus we want to help others in meeting a practical need, in this case that would be speaking in English. At the end of the English club, we will extend an invite to anyone who is interested in exploring faith, wants to know more about Jesus, or wants to meet up to read from the Bible. However, we will never trick you into attending and will always be honest about the content of our meetings. *You do not have to attend religious events to be a part of English Club.*
Gentle Vinyasa + Sound Healing with Andrea
Gentle Vinyasa + Sound Healing with Andrea
Gentle Vinyasa is a slow, mindful yoga practice that connects breath and movement in a steady rhythm. The class focuses on soft flow sequences designed to release tension, improve mobility, and support nervous system balance. The pace allows participants to move with awareness rather than intensity. The session concludes with sound healing using crystal bowls. The sound supports integration and relaxation, allowing the body to settle after movement. This practice is suitable for all levels and does not require previous yoga experience. The class includes guided movement and a closing relaxation with sound. Facilitated by Andreea Surdu, yoga teacher who guides classes with clarity and calm presence. Her approach emphasizes breath, alignment, and accessible movement for everyday bodies. Mondays, 18.00-19.00, small classes, 200 CZK register through https://vev.co/atma-community-space-praha
Czech Co-Learning Session 🇨🇿
Czech Co-Learning Session 🇨🇿
Learning Czech can be hard and demotivating, especially when studying alone. **This meetup is a shared study session where we come together to stay focused, motivated, and make progress — each in our own way.** This is a co-learning / co-studying session, not a class. There is no teacher, no lesson, and no study material provided. Everyone comes with their own resources and studies independently, in a shared environment. 🧠 **How it works** • We all bring our own material: • textbooks • homework from a Czech course • Duolingo or other apps • reading practice • vocabulary review, etc. • We mainly work individually • We are free to: • ask questions • help each other • share tips and resources • No teacher, no formal structure, no pressure 👥 **Who is it for?** • Czech learners of all levels • Non-Czech speakers (expats, internationals) • Czech native speakers are welcome if they want to help, but this is not a language exchange ⏱ **Practical info** • Location: Cafedu 12, Škrétova 490, 120 00 Praha 2 (Metro A and C, Muzeum station) • Duration: 2 hours, or less or more, as you want • Day & time: Monday, 18:00 • Group size: small group for now • Free event — please support the café by ordering a drink ☕ If you’re learning Czech and lack motivation when studying alone, come join us — let’s find it together 🙂

🚀 Research Tuesday is Back: International User Research
🚀 Research Tuesday is Back: International User Research
**The wait is over!** After a long hiatus, we are reviving our favorite morning tradition. Research Tuesday is returning as a monthly ritual for the UX community to meet, share, and discuss the "no-filter" reality of our craft. We’ve missed the energy of in-person discussions, and we’re thrilled to start this new chapter with you. **💡 The Vibe: No Cameras, Just Conversations** If you’re new here, this is our secret sauce: **We never record or stream our meetups.** We believe the best insights come from a safe space where speakers and participants can be brutally honest about what worked - and what didn't. **🌍 This Month: International Research** Conducting research across different cultures, languages, and time zones brings a unique set of challenges. How do we adapt our methods for global markets? What are the biggest cultural pitfalls? Our speakers will "kick off" the topic with informal presentations, followed by a deep-dive discussion. **Language note:** Since the topic is international and our speakers are global, this specific meetup will be held in **English**. **👋 Our Speakers:** **Martina Benešová** Martina is a UX Researcher at Livesport with over 15 years of experience across the research world. Her career includes working for GfK, Vodafone and Unilever, where she moved between consumer insights, brand management and market research roles. She studied Sociology at Oxford Brookes University and has worked across multiple countries and markets throughout her career. At Research Tuesday, she'll be talking about the challenges and realities of running research internationally. **Carolina Lourenço Rosa** Carolina is a Brazilian UX Researcher based in Portugal. With a background in Journalism and Film, she spent over a decade working as a content producer and researcher in media companies, NGOs, and film productions before transitioning to UX in 2022. Today, she works at Livesport conducting qualitative interviews with Brazilian and Portuguese users while coordinating a network of qualitative researchers across Italy, Nigeria, the UK, Colombia, and South Korea. At Research Tuesday, she’ll share her experiences and learnings from conducting and managing research across different markets. **🕒 Agenda:** * **08:30 AM** – Doors open & Early networking (coffee & chats) * **9:00 AM** – Kick-off Talks: International Research * **10:00 AM** – Open Discussion * **11:00 PM** – Closing & Final Networking * **🧸 Babysitting On-Demand:** Research Tuesday has always been about making professional growth accessible. We especially want to support parents of small children, helping them stay connected with the industry and socialize without the usual barriers. * **Interested in babysitting?** We are happy to arrange it on-site, but we need to know if there is interest. * **Action:** Please let us know in the **comments section** no later than Monday noon if you would like to use this service and for how many children. We will decide whether to provide the service based on your feedback. * **🎟️ Important Details:** * **Tickets:** The event is **free**, but space is strictly limited to **35 seats** to keep the discussion intimate. * **Reservation:** Please book your spot early. If your plans change, please release your spot for others. **We can’t wait to see the old faces and welcome the new ones!** Ivana, Lucie, Martin

AI Reading Club: If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies
AI Reading Club: If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies
For our second meeting, we’ll read and discuss the book by Eliezer Yudkowsky, "[If anyone builds it, everyone dies](https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/474267/if-anyone-builds-it-everyone-dies-by-soares-eliezer-yudkowsky-and-nate/9781847928924)". No academic background is required, just a willingness to read, think, and share your thoughts. But please, read the text in advance :) If you want a taste of the main premises, I recommend [this interview with the author](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKN0E3a2Yzs). The session will be discussion-based, lightly moderated, and limited to a small group to allow for real conversation. As [the first session on Claude's Constitution](https://www.meetup.com/ai-vs-philosophy-reading-club/events/313077823/) was very pleasant, I look forward to what the second one brings!

# Event toolbox: a structured guide to running events to come back to + a workbook How to start, adjust as you grow, and run offline events that people want to come back to. This interactive workshop takes you from the essentials of planning a functional event to creating a community of people around it that will become your best ally. A round table Q&A session with Sasha Chagina concludes the workshop. **About the lecturer:** Sasha Chagina is an artist and the founder of the Creative Coffee Chat community. She has organised 50+ events for creative professionals in Prague over the last 4 years. COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
Come assist Van Buren Shelter (https://ymcacolumbus.org/locations/vanburen) staff in serving dinners and cleaning up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Dinner for the women is 5-6 pm and for the families is 6:15-7:15 pm. There is ample free parking available in the shelter's lot. The recommended area to park is in green in the image above. There will be a new entrance for the time being. We are asking all volunteers to enter through the Donation Dock door, the orange mark on the image above. This door is located between the Single Adults and Family Shelter. You will see 2 large garage doors with a large green trash compactor in the center. Please head to the closest garage door to the building wall, with a ramp leading up. There, you will see a door with a sign stating instructions on how to enter the building. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will come and escort you into the building. If a staff member takes longer than 5 minutes, please call the front desk at 614-689-2020. This is a new process for us, and we do not want to keep you waiting! We appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary change. The shelter needs a volunteer count the day before the event so sign-up ends Monday at 4:50 PM. Afterwards some of us go to the Omnipresent Atheists Weekly Meetup in progress to have a bit to eat or drink (http://www.meetup.com/omnipresentatheists/). Volunteers must be 14 or older. Since we will be working around families, the YMCA does not permit volunteering by individuals with convictions for violent or sexual crimes. The YMCA reserves the right to run background checks on volunteers. For questions, comment on this page or contact: Andrew, awhit12@yahoo.com, (614)937-5802 (cell). Please let Andrew know if you volunteer anytime other than our COUNT events so that he can count your hours toward our service record.

In Person Event: The Secrets to Mental Health
In Person Event: The Secrets to Mental Health
Mental Health, how do you understand it? How can you improve it? How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself. Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went? Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you aren’t aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence? Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. As soon as you learn what is at the root of these unwanted conditions, you’ll see it is something you can DO something about. You will not be labeled or categorized at this MeetUp. This group is hosted by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 **Abstract** Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively. This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way. **YouTube Link** TBA
