Stories of Seers, Sibyls, Somnambulists, and Other Phantasmagorical Liberations (NERO, 2022) tells the story of six women who, between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, used magic as a means of emancipation from patriarchal oppression. Using the book’s pages as a map, the researcher embarks on an investigation that leads her far beyond the book’s original trajectories, with the aim of exploring the forms and influences of magic in contemporary European society.
