On Friday 26th June we will have an evening walk in the Dublin Mountains - with some of the loveliest views around Dublin. Although it's 5 days after the actual summer solstice, sunset is at 9:57pm so we have plenty of time to enjoy the long summer evening. From the meeting point we will take the 44B bus to Johnnie Fox's pub, known for being one of the highest pubs in Ireland. We will then walk to Ballyedmondiff Wedge Tomb (also known as Giant's Grave), Two Rock, Fairy Castle and Three Rock before finishing up with a quick drink in the Blue Light pub (if we wish). There is then a pleasant 15-20 mins walk to the bus stop where there are buses to Dundrum & Dublin City Centre and Glencairn Luas stop (with Green Line services). If the weather is good, we may stop for a short picnic along the way, so feel free to bring food and drink. Feel free to come on the walk even if you haven't been to a meet up before. This is a great way to meet new people and see new places. \*\*\* If you wish to wander off during a break then it's probably OK but please agree with the organisers a time you'll return so we're not waiting for you \*\*\* [Date] 26th June (FRIDAY) [Time] 17:15 \~ 22:00. The 44B bus is due to leave at 17:30 but please arrive in plenty of time in case it leaves a few minutes early. It's near the Dominic Smith Expert electrical shop in Dundrum. For those coming on the Luas, I will be at Dundrum Luas on the northbound platform at 17:10 and wait for 5 mins before walking to Bus Stop 7981.
