**Join us for quiet and simple practice, grounded in community. Suitable for beginners. We sit in chairs for 10 and 20 minutes and do 5 minutes of walking meditation. Followed by tea and a poem shared. We start and end on time. Join us!** **Who we are** We meet weekly since 2024. We typically gather with 6-12 of us for seated and walking Zen meditation. Brief meditation instruction offered at the beginning. **What we do** **Mondays 4:30-5:30 pm**: We do 10 minutes of meditation, then 5 minutes walking meditation, then 20 minutes of silent meditation. Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 11 at Streetlight Guild. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. **SCHEDULE:** 6:45ish - Quick introductions 7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour 8:00 - The End **OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour.
