Workshop "Navigating the Future of Agile Work"
Workshop "Navigating the Future of Agile Work"
Work life is changing fast — and Agile Coaches are right at the center of that transformation. Transformation is made by people. So let’s not talk about AI for a moment, and refocus on the most important asset we have: *us*. Artificial intelligence and hybrid work are reshaping how we collaborate. While they bring many benefits, they can also fragment shared thinking and make it harder to build a common understanding. In this interactive workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience with the **Epics©-method**, developed by Epicmeets. The method helps combine different modes of thinking, spark creativity, strengthen collaboration, and turn ideas into real action. **What you’ll gain:** Practical experience with the Epics© method. New ways to build shared understanding in teams Fresh perspectives through meaningful conversations with peers. Insights into how the Agile Coach role is evolving — and how to prepare for it. This is not just a session to listen — it’s an engaging, collaborative experience where you’ll learn by doing and by sharing. *Join us and be part of the conversation shaping the future of Agile work!* **About our facilitators** ***Maria Scholl*** With over 15 years of experience in international technical companies, Maria is the Lead Facilitation & Training at Epicmeets. She specializes in tearing down organizational silos and fostering trust-based, cross-functional collaboration where traditional fixes fail. As a seasoned transformation facilitator and moderation trainer, she helps complex organizations move past mere discussion to achieve shared understanding and concrete, sustainable change. ***Vesa Kangasperko*** Vesa is an experienced coach and facilitator in change situations. He has worked as a professional coach (ICF ACC) and a specialist in human‑centric change for more than 15 years. In his work, he has seen firsthand how high‑quality interaction correlates with the success of change initiatives. Vesa participates in the event as a facilitator, bringing his experience in human‑centric change work. For this event, he collaborates with Epicmeets **About Epicmeets** Epicmeets empowers people to collaborate authentically, equally, and with tangible outcomes. The Epics©-method and tools make it possible. We’ll be hosted by **Epicmeets** on their premises. Remember to thank them for inviting us to meet at their location! **About the Coaching Circles** Our monthly Coaching Circles are a safe and collaborative space for all members of the community and participants of the events to share their experiences, tools and more. We gather every month, to explore a different topic. The event follows the [Agile Finland's Code of Conduct](https://www.agile.fi/about/code-of-conduct/).

Vieraileminen on maksutonta eikä ennakkoilmoittautumista tarvita. Tule testaamaan, miltä tuntuu puhua yleisön edessä. Ei tarvitse olla valmis – kunhan haluat oppia.

Board Games at Arkade (Thursday)
Board Games at Arkade (Thursday)
Pay the **5 € board gaming fee** to the bar at the counter when you arrive. You must be at least 18 years old to enter [Arkade](https://www.arkade.fi/). We play in English and the game rules are taught before starting play, unless everyone is already familiar with the game. No previous experience with board gaming required. Despite our RSVP numbers here on Meetup, we almost always have at least 20 people participating weekly. The venue has a great board game library, the host and other players usually bring their own games too: our selection varies weekly. We're a very casual group so you're welcome to arrive early or late and join whatever game is starting up, there is no attendance tracking, or welcoming process. The bar has alcoholic drinks, mocktails, and soft drinks available as well as some snack foods. They've been okay with people ordering food to the bar with meal delivery services. If you are feeling sick, please stay home.
Vibe Coding Finland: June meetup with Elisa
Vibe Coding Finland: June meetup with Elisa
Welcome to our June meetup in Helsinki, arranged together with Elisa (https://elisa.fi/). Schedule: 17:00 Doors open! 17:30 Welcome words by organizers and Elisa 17:40 **"Build before specifying", Kristofer Pasanen, Development Manager/Product Owner, Elisa** What changes when a PO builds before specifying? Better stakeholder conversations. Real artifacts for real decisions. Sometimes the roles blur – sometimes it becomes obvious why every role is still needed. Notes from a year of building for myself and at Elisa. \*5 min break\* 18:15 **"Bringing Context, Orchestration and AI Agents to the SDLC by Graham & Akseli from Kaiku"** With AI in delivery projects, we consistently see the same pattern: every engineer has their own rules, their own prompts, their own way of working — and nothing is shared. Context lives in people's heads, local systems, or scattered across repositories. At Kaiku we've been tackling this from the inside - bringing shared context, structured skills, and orchestrated agents across our whole company. In this session, Graham & Akseli will walk through how Kaiku has approached this, how we've evolved and where we're aiming next. * Why context is the real bottleneck in AI-assisted development and why solving it at the individual level doesn't scale. * Building a shared knowledge layer: encoding expertise into skills, rules, and workflows that agents and humans pull from the same source. * What it looks like in practice when POs and engineers are all working with the same AI context across their tools and agents. * Orchestrating agents across the delivery lifecycle: what's worked, what we've learnt, and what we're still figuring out. Akseli Manninen is a senior data scientist at Kaiku and Graham Daw is one of the founders. \*5 min break\* 18:50 **"How an AI-native marketing agency actually uses AI** **Built AI-native from day one", Valtteri Taube, co-founder, OstraconAI** Valtteri Taube shares how the agency operates — and what it means to run marketing in an AI-first way. One example: the Claude Skills the team uses in its own marketing 19:30 Mingling / free discussion etc 20:00 Doors close **About us** Vibe Coding Finland is a community for developers, designers, business professionals and tech enthusiasts who love to vibe code, learn, and connect in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. Haskell Library Workshop
Haskell Library Workshop
**Will take place in the event we get four signups.** **The main event page for signing up: [https://jarkkaa.fi/events/20d7c2a9-5380-4f6b-8508-1d9ced68724b](https://jarkkaa.fi/events/20d7c2a9-5380-4f6b-8508-1d9ced68724b)** The room we have reserved in Oodi has rather strict attendee limit of 10 people. The recommended way to sign up is using the link above. Main description text copied from the event page listed above: The Helsinki Haskell Users Group has not had the opportunity to actually use Haskell as a group so far, at least in the time that I have been a participant, so it is high time we corrected that! The idea behind this workshop is that we gather together to place the foundation for, and hopefully build onward from there, a library for general use in the Haskell ecosystem. As things stand, we have elected to write a library working with bidirectional parser-generators, so one definition to both be able to parse data of a given form and to generate such data. We, the organisers, offer space, a general plan of how to tackle the topic, a repository for the work (please set up a [GitHub](https://github.com/) account if you do not presently have one) and general oversight of the process with hopefully fitting some programming time ourselves just as well. You, the participant, bring Haskell code and possibly some snacks for yourself. Eating and drinking is allowed in the room, though be mindful of potential allergies. Oodi also has a cafe from which more can be bought with money. Hope to see you there!

The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** *Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code* Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options. **YouTube Link** TBD

Marketing Monday Networking
Marketing Monday Networking
Monthly working lunch for Columbus business owners. One specific topic, one to three actions you can run this week. You can be the best at what you do and still be invisible. If local buyers cannot find you, the phone does not ring. Marketing Monday Lunch + Learn is a monthly working lunch for Columbus business owners focused on building relationships, local networking, and local marketing. Every kind of local business welcome. No pitch round, no pressure, no upsell. **This month** Most local businesses pick one or two places to be visible and call it good. We will walk through the three places every local business needs to show up, plus the fourth place most owners ignore that quietly produces the warmest leads. **What to expect** Doors open at noon. Order lunch and drinks at the cafe counter or bring your own. You get real conversation with other local owners and a focused marketing lesson. You leave knowing people and with one to three actions to run that week.
